  1. We have been seeing some cool Submariner Timelys as of late so let’s keep it going . Couple more in the collection as of today .
  2. Sub-Mariner 5 was in my LCS years ago . They had cgc issue 2 at 2.5 or raw number 5. I chose the number two and never ever did find # 5 again . This was around 2008. I paid 250.00 Canadian for # 2 I believe issue 5 was less. Oh those were the times . You could look up on the back wall see silver age classics all over the place . How times have changed . I love the hunt as well it just requires more patience and timing
  3. Wow just stunning . I could never afford such books but find them inspiring to continue hunting my own runs. I remember years ago on Metropolis web site having a “ D” copy Sub-Mariner 32. It was highest ever graded and cost a pretty penny back then , I think it was $ 7500.00 USD over 10 years ago . Such a pleasure to see these high grade books .
  4. Sometimes it pays to surf around I can’t believe my luck . This is a very tough book to find . Low grade some tape on spine . Honestly don’t care ! Stoked to find this one Sub-Mariner Comics # 27 Timely 1948
  5. Another cool cover from my fav Golden Age hero. It has great colour and eye appeal for a low grade . Just trying to pick up books I can afford and enjoy.
  6. Love that 25. All of these are hard to find . I’ve got few more to share once they arrive . On their way is 22,26,29 cgc blues . I already have 32-42 completed just need to send the atlas books for grading
  7. Here is a book that is one hard find . I don’t mind lower grades because it’s all I can afford but I’m very excited to find this one . I missed out recently on eBay for Submariner Comics 30 . I waited too long and it sold I’m very upset I did that . I’m working on a run from 22-42 and doing well so far. These last Subbys are tough .
  8. He’s already in retirement mode. He will make some very limited convention appearances but he was selling a lot of goods off his site to get rid of inventory. I imagine getting sketches moving forward ( nice finished ones ) will be very difficult . He was only doing portraits anyways . More detailed drawings he just hardly did anymore .
  9. I was very lucky with the Zeck as Mike is near impossible to get art from directly . This torso render came from his close friend Chuck Costas who privately sold it to me . It was done 2019 Torpedo comic con in Vegas . From what he told me it’s one of the best he’s done in a long time . The days of cover recreations is long over with and he’s in retirement mode now . I just love this one gives off Kraven last Hunt vibe
  10. A few Black Suit Spidey pieces I added at end of 2019. So happy to have these Mike Zeck Ron Frenz Jamie Biggs Rick Leonardi
  11. Here is comparison from eBay to mine . They look the same Puzzled
  12. I have two atlas books from two diff sources these things don’t look trimmed I’ll post some pics here maybe you can help me out . I want to send them in to grade
  13. When you say smaller you mean not golden sized more like silver sized? I was going through my Atlas Subbys and I have two issue 34 & 35 which are def smaller than rest . They def are not trimmed in any way just were produced that way . when I grade these will the case be smaller or better question are golden CGC graded books slightly larger in the slab?
  14. Anyone looking to get art from Mike I think it’s now or never . Commissions are not happening as stated above . His convention headshots sell very quick on his site and at shows . I think he’s finally settling in to a scaled back Convention schedule meaning hardly any . He went hard for years and it’s time for him to enjoy and from what I’ve read and been told by his close friend , drawing and sketching and convention merchandise is all going to disappear . It’s a lot of work to lug it around from place to place I think he’s going to taper it all off. comgrats to all owners of those amazing cover recreations
