I’m starting to think the 1.0 I passed on ebay may haunt me . Recently I was beat out on Heritage for an issue 13 cgc 2.5. Tough books to find I remain positive in my search

Finally have a group shot . Still hunting for issue 11,13 but I’m happy with my progress . This was not easy to do :

I think the turtles are slightly cooling and this auction won’t hit 200K mark. Just putting my horse in race here for fun .

I dumped all my late 80s early 90s and beyond comics in top grade to get my copy. Kept my old books what was left of them and I’m happy . I’m not as attached to modern stuff as I am to certain huge character appearances important to me . I was extremely lucky to get my copy three days before that big heritage sale . Otherwise that ship would have sailed fast….

This book shot up so fast I’m not surprised at some softer sales but in the big picture these are still huge results in the positive for the book from a few years ago . It may be a good time for those that have the money to be looking now .

I think with Spiderman lagging behind Action and Tec on prices for years it has a lot of room to grow . At what point does it hurt the book? I think the time is coming where seeing a 2.0 hit 50K is not unreasonable , who at that point is interested in even buying ? I’d say 99% of all buyers would be priced out most are now lol. From an ownership aspect and love of the character it shouldn’t matter but it’s good to know an exit strategy if needed .

it’s baseline has to be 250K minimum. That is very conservative low end start point . It’s prob more like 500K reason being there are only 12 copies in this grade . It’s def on higher grade and rarer grade for this book. Not many copies above 7.0

I didn’t know it was rule of this thread I couldn’t and could care less to be honest . I’m not posting because certain personalities have issues with it . Last I checked I was last “new “ post of AF15 added to PC it’s going to get boring watching people repost old pictures of the same books . That’s the new reality with current prices .

Who cares bro seriously . Not many people posting new AF15 books as adds to their collection because of these prices .

I believe a Canadian exclusive set could be around that same time 1970 it was only available from one retail store at the time which isn’t around anymore from my knowledge

He appears on cover of FF annual 1 with red, also on FF 27 first Dr Strange X over on cover . That’s all I can think of …

The second item which I tracked down in Brazil is an ATMA toy company Namor the Submariner figurine circa 1967/68. This company was given rights by Marx Toy Company in USA to make and sell their product under the Marx license to the Brazilian market . Now the Marvel Line was not quite up to speed in Brazil meaning the initial releases of the 6 figures in USA ( Captain America , Thor, Iron Man , Hulk , Spiderman and Daredevil ) were not all known in Brazil yet namely Daredevil . It wouldn’t be until 1969 that the market there knew of his existence . As a last minute response the ATMA producers made a Namor toy exclusive only to Brazil and with the approval of Marx with the stipulation that once Daredevil was released in Brazil , the MARX Co. Would then revoke the license for the Submariner figure . Rumour had it that the manufacturer took the top of a swimming trophy off and added a few Namor like features and viola!!! From my research the rarest of the Namor figures was the very first edition Marx base stamped toy. All of these had a beige coloured PVC with markings on bottom ( ATMA , year Marx , Namor ) each in its own stamped circle. These are extremely rare to find today . As you can imagine children would have destroyed these , removed them from their bases , snapped arms off etc . I know I did with the MARX versions so finding a foreign exclusive first edition toy from Brazil over 50 years old in tact is tough for a North American collector. As Marx transitioned Daredevil to the Brazilian Market the Namor figure markings were removed but the earliest versions still retained the three circles on the bottom now empty but totally correct using the same molds from the first beige PVC these were a beautiful light blue PVC. Both of these versions ranged from 1967/68. Once Daredevil hit the shelves the PVC changed to darker hues of blue and quality dropped as did all circles on the bottom . Some argue this is a bootleg but knowing that MARX gave approval for the initial run one could make an argument and honestly who cares . It’s totally vintage , totally Sub-Mariner and who wouldn’t want one to go with the original 6 MARX releases . I’ve included pictures of my baby blue Namor and to give it scale included a picture with my rare Canadian Exclusive Thor MARX in silver . I hope you guys enjoy this tidbit of SA goodness. ( Figure was purchased in 2021 third party using a connection I had in Brazil from one of their buy and sell market pages for collectables )

I’d like to share this here although not a comic it is SA Namor the Sub-Mariner and imo just so cool . Both of these pieces are hard to come by. The figure could be classified as one of the rarest Marvel figurines ever produced . Marvel Hero Club Button 1966. This was the first version ( photo has hand holding the pin )released a revised second version with new set came out later and is much more rare to find today . The buttons are fairly large at 3.5” in diameter

It was few weeks back someone snagged the opening splash single page from AF15 which was fair price imo. I’m watching CGC 1.8 blue on comic connect it’s 23K with loads of time left for bidding . Getting in on the low tier of this book now is going to be very pricey now

Some pretty big sales I’ve seen on low grades here’s one I found on eBay and comic connect also has 1.8 in auction that’s over 20K with two weeks left in bidding ?????

Got this one back from the framer and it turned out awesome . I wanted the frame to look like it belonged in a gallery to elevate the art in an epic way . It’s hard to pick up in the framing but the ornate guilded portion has hints of blue to draw colour from the art . Enjoy😎!
