Show me the stats please I’d like to see that because Spiderman hands down is the most popular character on earth Where are these 10000 copies of AF15 please share I’d love to know since that book came out 1962 at the dawn of marvel silver age and there is now way that many exist ‘There are only 4 9.6s ……

Blowing way too much hot air trying to show any DC character is bigger than Spidey. Not happening . He is the biggest and the sale is exclamation point . Could care less if Bats or Sup came out in 30s. Makes zero diff and you wait until generations are bridged by Disney between Peter and Miles. To the moon and beyond

I’m going out on limb but based on the current Spiderman franchise and what has been done with his brand over the last few years in all media and mediums there is no doubt in my mind he’s the biggest character in comics . That goes for Marvel or DC. He will continue to grow and do better than both Superman and Batman ( not knocking them at all ) but I just feel with Disney/Sony sharing and playing well together and other multiverse Spider characters being huge in their own right , this comic will continue to climb . To certain deep pockets the GA Tec27 or Action 1 are the comics to have based on rarity and basically launching the comic game but Spiderman has something they don’t. Can’t quite put my finger on it but he’s got it !

ASM 1 will for sure get huge hikes now and I’m guessing most won’t have a shot with those either ….

99.9% of all potential buyers for this comic are in low grades I’d feel way better down there than trying to sell 3.5-6.0 range as it’s expensive

IMO Spiderman and Batman are the two biggest on the planet . I compare them equally . Obviously the Tech 27 is much rarer comic but kids gravitate to Spiderman wether it be Peter, Miles or Gwen more . There is zero doubt that both characters have the BEST rogues gallery in comics and I give that edge to Batman all day for the darker more sinister ranks that exist in Gotham . I think once this auction ends it’s the exclamation point on Spider-Man’s importance in pop culture and where this first appearance comic sits amongst its royal companions in DC . He’s def more than a Knight ;)!

Another add today from cgc . Both of these copies I purchased raw and am very pleased with grade.

It really depends on eye appeal but let’s face it most graded above 2.5 are well out of reach for 99% of collectors so these low grade copies may be the last last chance at this grail . Prices will push on them too imo but I don’t know how much

Back cover has a tear and old tape covering parts of it. It’s the back so I wasn’t too concerned and it was complete no pieces missing

This was not an easy get for me as the value of the 9.6 AF15 on Heritage keeps climbing most dealer and collectors just wouldn’t part with this . I have a funny feeling I got in on the very last ship sailing away for this issue . It’s low grade but I’m sooo happy to have landed this one.

Wowzers . I knew my window was closing fast but it’s literally days when I think about it . Pages on eBay in auction right now that are over 1K closing in on 2. I’m not surprised being how important Spiderman is to all of comics history . I feel for those chasing this one.

I’m good and I obviously know there are differences but I’m trying to avoid debate on what’s better or what’s a more authentic first app issue . Owners of second prints have always pushed s their copies over thirds and to me I could care less . To the naked eye it’s almost the same . Value differs but takes nothing away from fact all three prints ( 1,2,3 ) I lump together visually .

Obviously folks are watching the Heritage auction on 9.6 . Do all grades push higher now because of these staggering numbers? Stats usually show it will . Any thoughts on what happens on low to mid grade copies ?

I feel the same . Growing up where I was geographically these books were ghosts . Never saw them or even held a copy of any Tmnt book until I was at my cousins around 87 and he had copy of issue 7. The newsstands in Canada just didn’t carry them so having a few copies of the early books makes me smile . It does suck not having a first print but the oversized issues are all specialism any printing imo. A moment in time not to be repeated again . Love that! Just for those that don’t know how to read labels all printings are the first appearance and origin of the turtles . A second print is just that and who cares if it came out in 84 it’s not diff to me than third . The only true special book is the OG and the others no matter how much collectors push another printing over another they just are not first prints .

This was best copy I could hope to get . I traded about 30K Canadian in books for it and I think any hope of a higher grade cleaner copy was never happening . That ship sailed a while ago . Most of the comics I gave up were all fantastic in their own right , high grade but modern stuff I felt I could let go of to get a grail . In the end it was fair to me and the seller imo . I’m happy .

Really like what huge differences? It’s first printed appearance clearly a third print just like second is second and not better than third ( being printed in 84 after the first print still makes it second print ) . I own 9.6 third love it . It’s over sized and looks great . it has way less copies in census for its print run so 35000 printed yeah bigger but less than 1500 blue in there so it’s Uber low on rarity scale . Anyways I love the growth long term for the third print as much as the other two and always group all three together because slabbed they look same .

Third print is almost identical to both 1 & 2 prints and comparing Cgc blue to actual print run they are undervalued and much lower in census . It’s 100% same book and nobody should try and spill milk on that fact . It’s BS I love mine and it’s same magazine size . I’ve owned first print as well def know the differences between them

It was 240K or full asking 245K , he was very excited as he kept saying it shattered old record bla bla. For all we know they bought it and will relist again at 300K . Something seems off to me …….

I am very happy to say I have low grade copy back in my PC for good . I’m happy with copy and feel grateful to be able to land this book again considering prices on it . Big day for me 😍!
