  1. Wow @Bird, that is amazing and I and the 5 other people that will understand this/these references appreciate it.
  2. My favorite part about this "argument" is that these 2 people (probably the same person) think that before CGC put in the new agreement (it's not new, just a new checkbox to explicitly point it out to the McDonalds coffee spillers) that this actually changed any sort of response/attitude/legal responsibility CGC had. They are acting like before this agreement CGC wouldn't hurt comics and if they did they legally would have full responsibility and be forced to 100% reimburse any customer for any possible damage and purchase the next comic for the owner, but once CGC created this agreement they now toss comics around the grading room for faster handling speeds with impunity.
  3. I'm not talking about him rubbing the ink. I'm talking about him holding the comic book with one hand while pushing on it with the marker, there will be flexing of the spine.
  4. That was a great remark, all of the ones they showed looked pretty nice, but did anyone else cringe a little at the way he held the book up and pressed with his thumb on it? From the intro to the video it looks like he kept non-blanks flat.
  5. I emailed CGC about these 19 Universal books and here was the response. Unfulfilling
  6. You mean there would have been 13 10's that got knocked to be lowly 9.8's. We all know what probably happened is they mislabeled the slabs as Universal when they are SS, I've had a handful myself that have come back this way. This doesn't forgive the problem as a Universal copy of this book should raise an alarm in the CGC system, especially this close to the signing, but I guess that's asking too much.
  7. I'll offer you 1.27 any day of the week and keep that sweet .8 in profit. Seriously though. For the example listed above (Hugh Jackman signing a 181). I can only find 1 cgc ss Hugh Jackman book for sale at a hyper-inflated ebay price (10k for a MP #72). I see that a triple signed Jackman/Stan Lee/Claremont Wolverine #1 88' 9.8 sold for 2300$ in 2020 which is about 4x universal which are selling ~$500. Just some guesses on value add for sigs Claremont on this book looks to add $200 Stan $600 and Jackman $800 and the triple signing $200. Obviously these are some guesses on value add and everyone can come up with something different and there are tons of other things that go into whether ss helps the book or hurts and different scenarios that can be thrown out. All that being said I'd think that you could add about $1k to a 181 by having Jackman sign it, but it would be a tiny market (another point is this is today, tomorrow Hugh could be arrested and the value removed completely).
  8. Signature series books are 1.35 times more valuable than Universal.
  9. All in-house signing now go straight to "received at CCS" the answer when I asked the question was that it wasn't actually being pressed/cleaned yet but that was the designation due to the process of moving the books to a holding place before the signing. Supposedly they still go to CCS after the signing. You should call and ask CGC also, maybe you'd get a different answer than I did.
  10. They've been taking their time about posting the videos/pictures from the signings. Sometimes its multiple weeks later.
  11. I think this is the group that would appreciate this collection. I've been working over the past 4 years on a signature series project that is impossible to complete. I finally broke down and decided to alphabetize my 30 cent signature slabs and figured while they were in the light of day I may as well snap a few photos of the whole collection. This is by no means finished as I add to it every few months. Since the 30 centers are from 1976 some will never get a creator signature (i.e. Captain America). It still is fun to collect and keeps me looking through the older creators lists to see if there's an upcoming appearance for a creator in the collection. Notice that these are not the highest graded slabs in the 30 cent registry but a few are up there. Some are remarked, some are double and triple signed and a few have Stan's signature (there is even a Voldemort slab in there, yuk). I've probably taken 60% of these for signatures myself, 20% were through facilitators or CGC and the last 20% were purchased. Just wanted to share!
  12. I agree with you, and they should crackdown on witness’ (even their own) not following the procedure instead of adding more possibilities of manipulation.
  13. One very specific reason, chain-of-custody. CoC has always been the basis behind the security within the SS program for CGC. This breaks the CoC and now CGC is taking Diamonds word that they won’t print more. Someone unscrupulous could technically print off counterfeit copies forge Todd-fathers signature and send it in with a COA and get SS status.
  14. I really like this and would be happy with it. But, I'm camping with those that like signatures, sketches and remarks.
  15. No time frame. The only way you would know in advance of your books moving from received/with CCS to SFG is if they post on facebook/twitter/instagram with the creator. Don't ask the Kevin Eastman group they waited almost a year from the submission date.
  16. Could these be truly witnessed? Unless there was an obvious birth mark on the dog how could they prove its dog or pooch or boy?
  17. Hello, and thank you for contacting customer service. If you would like, you can mail the book to my address and I will gladly "help" you out with this problem.
  18. I'm fairly confident he hasn't even done the first signing yet.
  19. Why wouldn't you list it for the price you want to sell it for?
  20. Ill be there. I just confirmed with @Dork Buzz that they will be at fan-expo.
  21. Last week was the signing (multiple days). Assume your signing date is the 20th so you have 6 or 8 weeks from then based on whether you had pressing or not. You should be looking at the first week or third week of October for them to ship back.
  22. I've been thinking about how they're doing the "scheduling" of creators. I assume they arrange with the creators rep that the creator is willing to do a signing with an "as soon as" date. CGC announces the signing with a submission deadline of 1-3 weeks before the "as soon as" date. Once they pass the deadline they then soft book the creator knowing the volume of signatures/remarks/sketches but allow almost limitless flexibility since CGC has already been paid by the submitter (maybe CGC doesn't even pay for transportation, hotel etc and wait for the creator schedule to align with the signing) and that's why CGC won't give us a signing date.
