Okay so I have reduced the price on this page considerably and will be listing for the last time. Forum members can contact me if they would be interested in purchasing the art outside of ebay and we can negotiate a price on it. Piece comes with an overlay depicting Galactus destroyed ship by Magus. Ron Lim's art is becoming more desirable and hence expensive as collectors are trying to get pieces from their childhood. I first started buying art as an investment but have slowly found out that it is hard to find customers who wish to pay asking price so I reverted back to comics and have been making some money speculating, more so than from art. However, I think that one might hit the jackpot with art and the gains on initial investment could be 10x or more. I know that I could make good money by selling the pieces that are in my permanent collection however being a collector those are the pieces I am not willing to let go even if I have to eat ketchup sandwiches now and then, lol.

I think investing in OA is a good idea because I'll never regret the art I am purchasing after several years of learning to purchase what I like and not just any page that comes along.

I've had OA stolen twice from the porch. Thankfully they weren't expensive pieces but it has always hurt. I need a PO box!

I wouldn´t think so but if not using a flat file I would be wary of overstacking art one on top of each other to avoid bends on any of the art and any other problems that might arise from stacking too much weight as paper is extremely heavy. Like Spidey 62 says ease of access would be an advantage of storing vertically.

I have never used an auction house but for higher end pieces I would. If I ever sell them while being alive and that's a big IF. I do sell on my CAF and by posting in several of the facebook groups for OA.

what price could you do outside of ebay for the adams piece?

Breaking by age seems appropriate. I would add that the Best of needs a category were you only vote for art that has been published in the last year. The results are not very indicative of preference if I am comparing a page published last year with a Kirby page. Uploading to the Best of should be more simple. This was my first year participating and I hard a hard time completing all the steps necessary for me my pieces to participate.

This is something that should worry Original Art Collectors as you might not be able to tell from an ebay auction if what you are purchasing is really Original Art or a print. I live outside the USA and sometimes OA gets sent to a friends house and I don't get it until 3 onths later to a year thus making it impossible for me to file a claim after such a long time since purchase has passed. Needless to say another thing to worry about when purchasing OA.

I have done it to be sure that what I have is really done by the artist. I had Adam Hughes resign a preliminary for a WW cover I bought as I wanted to be sure it was really made by him. I also like to get the writers to sign the artwork too just never like the defaced that Anacleto piece!
