  1. so June 1st 93, and BA 12 is Sept 93, which cover date is always what? 3 months later than actual release putting BA 12 @ July? did you hear that? I just stirred the pot a little.
  2. good gosh, I hope so, cuz I actually have that one.
  3. I don't think I have ever seen a slab where it's noted on the label? Jim from the research I've done I don't think there is any difference from the 1st, 2nd, 3rd prints judging from the cover, only on the inside first page it will say either "2nd print" or "3rd print" the 1st print of course wouldn't say anything. someone correct me if I'm wrong, which on these boards is never a problem.
  4. help a DC guy out, I see two different covers for Capt. America #6, (Bucky cover and Cap Cover) is one more wanted by collectors than the other? The variant for #6 would definitely be better and more desirable. Its harder to find, and it has Winter Soldier on the cover. thanks, (thumbs u

  6. nothing is scarce post 1965. especially post 1980.
  7. I always have was buying and reading back in '92 when it was all happening, I liked the "death of" and the "funeral for a friend" story-lines, didn't care for the 4 separate replacement Supes story-lines all at, felt really dragged out. And I know that in hindsight it seemed very gimmicky and helped lead the way to the 90s implosion, BUT, it was probably the biggest event in comics history, I remember people who had never stepped into a comic store coming in requesting the Superman #75 only to be told it had sold out and that they would have to wait for later printings. I've always had a few copies of MOS 18 laying around, but have just recently decided to hunt down some more.
  8. went to a local flea market today and found a Man of Steel #18 newstand edition for $4
  9. just went through my copies of MOS 18 and discovered that two of them are newstand editions., who knew.
  10. That's pretty impressive from Overstreet, to have a book like that right up to date. Apparently this is one of the new advisors: She wouldnt have to buy comic books, Id give them to her I wouldn't give them to her, but she would get a HUGE discount. Is that a euphemism? -slym (would like to be on her "advisory board") you know, I really didn't mean it that way, but if it works for the joke.
  11. I understand your point of view, it can be a little annoying when cosplayers block the isles with picture taking/posing, etc. but like anything else when living in a society, you take the good with the bad. it's never been much of an issue with me.

  14. at this past Cincy con a dealer was buying some books from me on preview night and ask to see my "guide" I said, "you still use that?" I don't think he understood what I meant.
  15. I noticed that as well, she isn't broken out in the guide yet, I guess we have to do everything for them.
  16. mid season break under 1500 maybe. market is crazy. but no way ba 12 will hit 2 g's. most harley fans would rather use that money at hot topic or improving their cosplay outfit. So, in your opinion, the people driving up the prices on BA12 are Harley cosplayers? Interesting theory. Right now, I would rather have four copies of BA 12 than one WD 1. nope. cosplayers dont buy comics. was saying harleys fans are mostly cosplayers. This is true. Cosplayers and children shouldn't even be at cons I wouldn't go that far, cons can be enjoyed on different levels, if someone wants to dress up as their favorite character, so be it. and if parents want to bring their kids what's wrong with that? It's superheroes after all. and in my experience parents do buy comics for their kids, it may be the $1 to $10 variety, but that's ok as well.
  17. not sure of the print run, and I believe your observations from the great white north, but at last weeks Cincy Expo, I walked the floor and saw quite a few copies, didn't bother to check prices, but I feel the book is still very easy to find at least in some areas.
  18. Batman is not right now, I guess. That being said, I think we are starting to finally see a new big gap up in late BA and CA books now. Hopefully it continues..... I'm happy for Dan, but I bought a much better copy just today at my LCS for $10.
  19. this is one of the few Action war covers I've never owned before, so hard to find a nice white dirt free copy. this one is spectacular, great book Steve. (thumbs u
  20. sounds about right for Metro/CC. sorry to hear about this.
