  1. I'm not necessarily looking for extreme scarcity, but a little more of a challenge than SA/BA Marvel. I can think of 100+ GA DC books I want that can't be found on Ebay with a search. Whereas I can't think of a single SA/BA book I can say the same of. this is true, I think that "the challenge" part of collecting GA DC is trying to find well presenting copies that don't break your bank. they may not be as rare as say Centaurs, etc. but locating solid copies for a decent price is the trick. Very much agreed. Rarity in and of itself isn't an interest of mine. Sure, Centaurs are rare, but I also have no interest in them. I'm interested in GA DC and they also happen to be more of a challenge. preaching to the choir brother, GA DC is my thing. (thumbs u

  3. great book to have, first Lex and first Daily Planet. maybe that blue spot is a fragment of blue kryptonite that is just passing by.
  4. That was a tough book to like, given its many problems. The brittle pages would seem to be a killer for using it to complete another incomplete copy. But I guess for some people an early Action is an early Action, however beat. amazing that the 3.0 brittle copy went for $30,500. fuelman's copy of Action #10 was also a 3.0 and sold on Clink just 3 years ago for $23k, and it wasn't brittle. just crazy.
  5. Batman #1 is such a cool GA book. anybody win the 1.8 copy or the "front cover only" cover in the CC auction?
  6. Like minds think alike! Better let me know if you're looking at anything in the CC auction so I don't jinx you, though it's probably pretty apparent what I'm after. no worries there, I don't even look at Comic Connect auctions. so go wild!
  7. dude, I swear, I almost bid on that one as well, I was watching it til the end, I think it went for a VERY good price, if I didn't have other books on the want list right now, it might have gone higher, but I'm glad you won it. it's a very nice looking 3.5 blue. congrats! (thumbs u
  8. I was under the impression it was a touch up to the bricks, to the right of the Kane sig. sorry, yeah I see it now, I guess what I was looking at is the inner CGC slab pressing against the book cover and giving it that "rainbow" look. yeah, that ct doesn't look bad at all. I'd look into having it removed.
  9. hard for me to tell where the ct is exactly, is it the green on the back of the guys jacket? doesn't look to bad, I would PM Kenny and see what he thinks. maybe give him better pics.
  10. still looks like a great book though, like I said, I almost bid on it.
  11. depending on how "slight" the ct is, it might be possible, but since it's amateur ct it may not be.
  12. that's the way to do it, great eye appeal on that book, congrats on another GA pickup.

  14. I guess price wise, but even just counting Superman covers, I don't see it. 7, 10 & 19 are all cooler to my eyes. (thumbs u
  15. I always thought of Action #7 as the Tec 31 of Supes covers, but no hard and fast rules here, for the record I love Action 1, 7, 10, 13, 17, 19, 20, 21, 23, 24, 25 as far as the early Shuster stuff goes.
  16. I was watching that auction and almost bid, glad you ended up winning it. great book at a steal of a price. (thumbs u
  17. great books, love those big logo Actions and your Supes #70 looks fantastic!
