4.0 to 4.5 Looks like a "typical" grade for silver age JO.

Beautiful book. I would guess that without that tear, you could get a 9.2 all day long! I am no expert at how much that drops the grade but I would say at least two notches down to 8.5.

5.0 as is. If you fix the spine roll, then 5.5/6.0.

9.2, but maybe a 9.4 if the bend at the top can be pressed out.

Great candidate for cleaning/press. 6.0 if you get the work done.

5.5, but recommend a cleaning/press. Might get a bump.

Get the back cleaned up and I'm thinking 9.4. The scuffs hurt, and I can't tell for sure but it looks like there could be some wear on the back bottom right corner.

I'm thinking 9.6. The back upper right corner looks more like wear as opposed to a production flaw. Hoping you get lucky if you submit. 🤞

4.5 to 5.0. You should definitely get the book cleaned and pressed. The back upper left corner is rough. Maybe 5.5 after a cleaning/press.

9.0, with 9.2 as a long shot. Multiple color breaking spine ticks and some slight corner and edge wear.

2.5 to 3.0 There's alot of dirt but not sure if a cleaning is possible due to the fragile state of the covers.

5.0 as is, but cleaning and press would get you to 5.5 IMO.

5.0. Definitely get a dry cleaning just because of all the dirt on the back cover. Don't think anything can be done with the crayon on the front cover due to risk of removing printed ink. A press will help with some of the creases.

I don't understand why someone would post such a non-value-added response, especially attempting to make the other person feel stupid. This IS the newbie section...isn't it?!?! We are supposed to be using this forum to ask questions like this...aren't we? I'm somewhat of a newbie myself so always interested to hear what people with many years of experience have to share. Thanks to those of you who are actually trying to help those of us that are new to the collecting world.

AOK......I've seen this in youtube videos quite a bit over the past few months, but no idea what it means. Always seems to revolve around someone sending another person free comics. Any ideas?
