  1. 9.0. There are some pretty strong creases on both covers.
  2. With a press, you may get a 9.2, as there is some waviness that can be fixed. Be careful when pressing a square bound book. You don't want to crush the spine, and you don't want the staples to push through the back cover. Really nice looking book!
  3. I've got my grades ready, but want to sleep on it...again.
  4. I will donate this lot of 15 trade paperbacks, all NM! Mix of TMNT, Wolverine, Spawn, Batman, Superman, Punisher, Ghost Rider, etc. Free shipping in the US.
  5. Who is this "Motor City Rob" guy..and how did he get a #1 seed??? Lol. Great example of beginners luck...but I'll take it!!!
  6. The book would definitely benefit from a press. There are quite a few bends and waves on the front and back covers that could be smoothed out. But I cannot seem to find any spine ticks whatsoever. This book may grade really well. It looks like there is some corner wear so I will go with a 9.4, assuming you get it pressed.
  7. What was last week's contest? Are you referring to the March Madness tournament? I thought we had until next Tuesday to submit those grades.
  8. People seem pretty adamant that the right edge is trimmed but I dont think we can tell just because the front cover looks to be cut on an angle. When looking at the back cover, there is obvious spine roll on an angle, which puts the front cover on an angle as well. Hope that makes sense.
  9. Other than the pictures of the front cover and the back cover, I also tried to add a picture of a slight crease just to the right of Daredevil's head on the front cover. It is roughly a quarter inch long. Not color breaking, but I cannot seem to get rid of it with a press. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  10. You have good eyes. Unfortunately I think this was a shadow from me taking the picture. There is no stain on the back cover. I agree that if the shadow was a stain the grade would be closer to what you estimated. In the future, I will have to do a better job with taking pictures.
  11. Thank you to all who replied. I added a scan of the full slab back at the top. 6.0!
  12. This has already been graded, but I am wondering what you guys think CGC gave it.
  13. Nice book. Spine almost perfect. Unfortunately, there's the chip on the front cover. Lower right corner on the front cover looks worn. Also, two small stains: one on front cover along spine next to the gun holster. The other is on the back cover at the top right corner. I'm going with 8.5.
  14. The defect on the back is really gonna hurt, but just looking for some estimates on overall grade. Sorry, not the best pictures.
  15. Hard to tell from the picture, but is is there a horizontal crease on the front cover that goes across the entire book right through Joker's face?
  16. 9.0, but hard to tell what's going on with the back cover because of the scan. Usually when people state "Grade is in", it means they have posted the picture of the graded book.
  17. Appreciate the advice but I buy books for various reasons. The point of this post was to show a 9.8 that doesn't fit the "traditional" appearance of a CGC 9.8.
  18. Maybe 8.0. A cleaning and press would definitely make it look nicer.
  19. I actually bought this already graded. Had to check to make sure the case wasn't tampered with. Seems legit, but definitely overgraded. Seems like a 9.2 to me.
