  1. 6.5. Not sure how that crease on the back could affect the grade. Depends how long it is. I could be over-grading this one
  2. Sweet book! The back cover tear really hurts. Maybe 8.0.
  3. Seems to be a big mystery. I've heard 6.0 is the max, but that's with the sub crease going through the entire book. With this being back cover only, might do better. Question, on the front cover, is there a strip of pink/tan discoloration along the spine...or is that glare from lighting?
  4. What an awesome book. Where did you get it? As for grade, hard to say what the spine twist will do. Also, is that a 2 to 3 inch tear in the middle of the back cover, right on top of the guitar?
  5. I've never had much luck with completely fixing waviness created by water damage (albeit I haven't had much experience). The waviness always seems to come back to some degree. May have to press multiple times. Good looking book aside from the that. Maybe 5.0 as it stands now.
  6. Thanks for doing this. Play-at-home grades submitted!!!
  7. I'm going to say 4.0. Not sure if the holes make a big difference with a lower grade.
  8. If you could post a picture of the back cover next time, that would help with the grading. I was thinking 5.0.
  9. Congrats! That was a tough round. Nice job with the two bulls.
  10. The Punisher really threw me. I should have researched more 9.8's to see if that was a manufacturing defect on the upper left corner of the back cover.
  11. I saw the spot you are referring to, but I think there is another spot in the red next to his right elbow (terrible color match...looks pink). Also, there are multiple touch-ups along the spine in black. Anyone else find these?
  12. Anyone else have a hard time deciding if that bottom edge of the front cover of Fear was an ink production error or an actual defect? I ended up getting a bullseye on that one, but I struggled with that for two days.
  13. I think it is worth a shot. Considering you will have to send it to CGC in the slab since it is a signature series, they will see the grade and will work very hard to try and fix that corner. I think it is very low risk that the grade would go down. But there is a chance you could go up to a 9.0. Just remember not to crack the slab on your own. You will lose the signature verification.
  14. Lol. Yep, totally. My bad. I'm not familiar with this book and the folder blended right in. I see one or two nicks. I'd go 9.4.
  15. Hard to say since the spine has a lot of curvature to it. I don't know how CGC would grade that. Maybe 9.0.
