  1. If someone posts, say, an Eerie 14 (off white or better PQ, no pieces missing on cover, please) on the for sale board and I can't get it cause I can't sign in I'm gonna be PISSED!!
  2. What's going on??? First GoCollect bombs their redesign and now after I sign onto CGC chat boards I get signed in, but am redirected to some marketing page. When I try to maneuver to the chat boards from the drop down menu, I get signed out again. Repeat, repeat, repeat, throw phone out window! Couldn't sign in at all on my iPhone, then just now it took about 5 tries to get on from my desktop. What gives? Is this CGC trying to cram more promo ads in front of our faces? Why can't they just leave us alone???? ha ha. But seriously its so frustrating!
  3. exactly this- the dashboard thing, you go there as instructed and its like starting over you don't see what you were expecting to see, and your shown a bunch of unwanted info. It would have been nice if they gave subscribers an email warning, so it wouldn't come as such a shock, especially if we were logging into the site during an actual buy/sell transaction. Maybe a beta site before the the main relaunch? Something.
  4. Yeah here's one, where the honk did this come from??? Oh yeah, I bought it for like $10 to crack out and examine what CGC considers a 9.6. Guess I never got around to it... does that count?
  5. I was just going to post this in Golden Age- wtf happened? I used to love this site. First time I tried it, a couple years ago?- I subscribed immediately. Everything was so easy and direct. Clear tables and graphics and data, all at a glance on the same page. Intuitive links to current auctions, other books in the series, etc. I'd log on at conventions, during auctions, or whenever I was tracking sales/current prices for GA comics. Considered it a collecting tool that was worth every monthly penny. BUT I just now logged on to Gocollect to research a book listed on the boards, and found this completely remodeled, totally confusing site. I can't even figure out what Gocollect is anymore. Is it a data site? A sales site? A top 100 site? A collecting blog? Spent 10 mins trying to figure out how to see the current sales of a particular GA book, and couldn't figure it out. What a disappointment. Why the change? Maybe it's not catering to GA collectors anymore? Curious if others find the remodel an upgrade. So bummed- and so unsubscribed.
  6. The hits keep coming- mail call today. Love this cover, been waiting awhile- you never know what’s gonna pop up on the boards. Thanks Jon! Looks good next to the shrunken head too. New thread idea?
  7. Another box checked off the want list. Talk about a shrunken head cover! and just in case you weren’t sure…
  8. Mail call today! Apologies if this is inappropriate for the undead thread- as this gentleman is most definitely deceased…
  9. Well here it is: I used to have about 4 of these- not a ton of valuables (although there is a first edition Tom Sawyer and a few Flannery O'Connors in there somewhere), lots of obscure art books, and just weird cool stuff, all well read. But the stuff dates from my early childhood (disney land skull from approx 1965) to present day (some of the comics/pulps are from this year, just haven't been filed away yet). Also stuff from dad, grand dads, and other ancestors. I've been moving around with so much stuff from my past that last year I forced myself to condense it into one shelf (although admittedly there are several storage boxes full of goodies still lurking around). In some ways, its all kinda my whole life on a shelf.
  10. That is quite a cover, I would say worthy of post 9000!
  11. This cover caught my eye, put out a low bid and here it is...
  12. Just in time for page 1000 of my favorite thread!
  13. I know that if those dudes in the car were skeletons or zombies or nazis that book would be worth a ton. Great cover, Kirby just got a little lazy with the skulls.
  14. Michael Rooker/Merle and David Morrissey/Governor in Walking Dead are pretty great. J.D. Morgan as Negan sucked for me though, that's when I stopped watching the show, just couldn't roll with it, good acting, just simply miscast. Needed someone way more menacing- physically and psychically. someone with the charisma/presence capable of compeling fear & allegiance. Plus he bashed out Glen's eye. What an A-hole! Not top ten but worth submitting...
  15. This was probably said earlier, but he is definitely getting something out of keeping this thread alive, because the more board members he persuades to become fractional investors the more likely his fractional investment will increase in value. He's advertising, sowing seeds. Otherwise he would have let this tired thread die months ago. But that's his prerogative.
  16. Thanks for the tip Robo- here's a cool article I came across: http://www.crimemagazine.com/downfall-delinquent-short-unhappy-life-bob-wood
  17. Mr Bedrock- have you ever seen one of these without the miss wrap? I haven’t, and have probably seen 10 by now.
