  2. Most definitely. Kiddie City and Child's World were also places I frequented in the early 80's. Surprisingly even as a 5 year old I can recall walking into KMart heading up kind of in the middle part of the store, and finding huge metal bins with tons of SW 12 backs. And then on top of that an entire aisle, both sides, absolutely jam packed with nothing but SW including end caps to boot. There was another store; it was a big department store, name escapes me think it was Edward's. They were light on toys but had an absolute gigantic aisle dedicated to just non-sports trading cards. I remember my first pack of King Kong (movie based) cards
  3. The frequency of these 10% eBay bucks, 10% and 15% coupons has definitely changed my buying strategy/patterns. At one point one or two of these savings scenarios was landing on a weekly basis. Obviously if it's a bidding style auction, then not applicable.
  4. Without question a G1 Transformers Soundwave. These happened to be the pre-rubs due to the timing. We had a relative who worked at a toy store so not only did he get a big discount; he was able to actually get his hands on one to purchase. These things would fly out the door in seconds. Not only did I get Soundwave, but that same Xmas a G1 Megatron as well. I was out of my mind with excitement. Could not believe it. A close second would be Xmas of 78 I believe when I got a Star War Death Star Space Station. Shame none of these moments could be captured on video like today. The toys from the late 60's/70's/80's were an incredible time period of imagination and creative play.
  5. Art piece placed into a rigid toploader with 4th side closure clip placed into cardboard sandwich placed in layer of thick bubble wrap placed in a thick oversized cardboard box packed with crumbled paper to fill any empty space.
  6. The Coupon discount is capped at a maximum value of $75 Note fine print. That equates to a single or cart full of purchases for $500.
  7. Exactly even if if listing is not a B/O, contact seller anyways and haggle down on price especially on BIN listings that are stale and have gone through a 30 day cycle. Stacking the 15% on top of this is how you really unlock value. I have gotten some crazy deals in the past doing this.
  8. FYI 15% Ebay coupon today (Thanks lizards2)! Thanks to catching up on this thread, I am definitely shopping. How to redeem your Coupon: Shop for eligible items. (See below for exclusions). Enter the Coupon code in the redemption code field: PICKUPSALE Pay for your item by 12:00 AM Pacific Time on December 16, 2018
  9. Wait for an eBay coupon and basically get them direct from the CGA store. I recommend multiples in one trip to maximize combined shipping value cost. Any cases I need I get here as they are custom sized/built for the specific toy line and they specialize in non-graded G1 TF slabs. Also SW too. https://www.ebay.com/sch/cgacases/m.html?item=261504546013&epid=1631669609&hash=item3ce2e2b4dd%3Ag%3AXXoAAMXQdm5Q9SKz%3Ark%3A1%3Apf%3A0&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
