  2. I dunno. Was it good for you...? The irony of your post is beyond thick. last word
  3. So...was I right or was I right? He got what he wanted and is probably spent and smoking a cigarette by now.
  4. Sorry to be the crick in your hitch. Oh, come on. You'd fall out with your breakfast. He's just pickin a fight. Par for the course.
  5. Cal fails to understand that limiting board participation would only serve to isolate and limit the purpose of this board as a marketing tool for the services (not just grading comics) they provide. They won't allow it and no amount of self righteous indignation will change it. It would be self defeating and any insufficiently_thoughtful_person with a glimmer of intelligence should recognize such.
  6. Wtf is this all about now? Shootydog, who can't decipher the ramblings of narcissists and the people who feed their egos
  7. The crazy is strong with you people.

  10. where can you get the magazine holders at a reasonable price?
  11. In my case it was always me simply because its the role I wanted to play and the others wanted to be the players. I loved being the DM or Storyteller or whatever iteration it was for that game. I loved spending my time creating a backstory, NPCs (Non player characters) for the group to interact with, peppering my world with little nuances. What it really boils down to is a creative process that was satisfying to me. Not to mention I actually love reading the games rules and accessories like Scottie reads technical manuals. I spent hours reading and rereading the rules I could quote just about every little thing. Its really a collaborative effort though...your players have to be involved but there are tricks to getting them involved if they are reluctant or shy. Im a gaming dork.
  12. I agree completely. I am currently running a 1st edition game for our group. We have been playing the 3rd edition rules for several years. First time for 1st edition AD&D in about 12 years, Many, many, more save or die opportunities in the early games. Later versions definitely take the fear of instant death away! I had not thought about this but I know my nephew and several others are interested in playing. I haven't run a game in years but it might be fun to get them together and play.
  13. I spent my entire youth playing DnD and other RPGs. DnD, Champions, Gamma World, Star Frontiers, Rifts, Traveller...you name...heck I even played Toon. As nerdy as they may be they certainly helped to feed my voracious imagination. I fondly recall all those late nights and long weekends we spent playing. I miss my friends. Those were good times.
  14. Great buyer with a great attitude when I had some problems getting the Dr. Strange books shipped promptly. Lightening fast payment too.
  15. Someone should really notify Bill or at least his "people". Would love to see him hung out on this one.
  16. What is something like that worth? I would love to own one of those. Thats just cool.
  17. Here are a few Whitmans I picked up recently in a huge Gold Key lot of books. There are several more where these came from.... Chip n Dale #20 Chip n Dale #22 Scamp Shroud of Mystery #1
  18. The coolest lot of books Ive ever picked up. I am in heaven going through these almost 100% NM beauties.
  19. The single most awesome purchase Ive ever made was from Shark. I'm surrounded by them now and couldn't be happier.
  20. I rarely checked the kudos thread if ever. Over time you learn who the good ones and the bad ones are and thats who you deal with. If I get screwed than that's the last time I deal with them. You never know until you actually deal with a person. References are usually a good idea if your spending a large sum or placing a great deal of trust in someone. I like to think I'm a good judge of character...but I'm also unforgiving for those who take advantage of my generally trusting nature. Kudos are just words.
  21. Life, work and everything in between has been rough lately. I'm fed up and ready to take a risk. My wife and I have an idea and we are going into business for ourselves. So I'm putting the comic collecting on hold...and I'm going to sell what I can to help fund some of this venture. Starting Friday night I will begin putting the entirety of my collection up for sale, drek and all.
  22. Kudos to Cimm for what may be the quickest purchased/shipped/received to date for me on the boards. Love the books!!
