  1. Yeah... I remember when that came out. I was not a super-religious kid... but even so... yikes. if I had to buy either this or the Care Bears back then, I'd have taken the latter... and the inevitable abuse.
  2. 4.5 to my eyes. Nice book... although based on the thread title, a bit of a surprise.
  3. Without seeing the back cover, I'd say 5.0. Great book!
  4. I have had that response from them before, with multiple books having minor CT. In my experience, it means the value of your book will be higher the way it is now than if you remove the resto. Example: I had 2 TTA 27's... a 9.0 PLOD, and a mid grade, both with minor amateur CT. They declined to work on the first, agreed to work on the second, and basically cut a small hole out of the center of the comic where the touch was. It still got a 4.5. If they'd done that on the 9.0... it would be maybe a 5.0? Not good.
  5. Well, everybody in the world is a mental defective. We all just manifest those defects in vastly different ways.
  6. I was a 60's Marvel guy mostly, so nothing stands out... EXCEPT. When I first got married, I had some comics left at my dad's house that we went to pick up. My wife happened to notice the title of this one... looked at me... smiled... and said, "Seriously?"
  7. Very difficult to overcome... Oh, sorry... I thought this was a question about another kind of tick.
  8. That sounds right. Makes me wish I'd collected Batman books... that is one sweet comic.
  9. Assuming the back cover isn't a disaster, and that you can clean tape residue, I'd think you could get higher... 1.8... maaaaaaybe 2.0. Great book!
  10. Yes to press big-time. Can't see any creases on my iPhone, a few spine ticks... as is, a 6.0. With press, a 7.0. Maybe higher, depending on the press. The color looks a bit faded. I'm assuming that's the camera shot?
  11. Random poster to Kevin.J: "Hey, I bet you don't have any more like that, right?" Kevin.J: "Hold my beer."
  12. For me it was GSXM1. Don't know why... that comic just bowled me over when it was released. Five different copies: A 9.6, 9.0, 9.0, 7.0, and a 6.5 signed by Len Wein. And you?
