  1. In Search Of: Back cover for Going Steady #12. Thank you.
  2. A rising tide.. There is a 2.5 white page AV 8 up for auction on the Bay. Sitting at $910, with 6 days to go.
  3. Unless the slab was somehow manipulated, You crack it, it's yours until you sell it! Sellers risk much on eBay. This is why I'll never sell there. At one point, wasn't the top sale recorded for a comic book sale, made through eBay? Maybe it was just a certain copy, and not the record.. A Sup book?? With FeeBay taking a small portion of sellers fees compared to big time trusted auction houses that make the lions share of the profit, it makes sense to many sellers to sell more expensive books on the ugly & terribly skewed platform. I've not sold on eBay, and have bought comics (once I knew it was local and we could do a transaction in person.) Too many shady folks for me, among the trusted sellers.
  4. Very Happy to own a few nice DCs. Thank you DC, and other early publishers, that paved the way for SA Marvels.
  5. What is that old line, about getting to the truth.. Follow the________!
  6. Ask and ye shall receive... Just got back home with a couple of books. Grabbing these and a few other romance books, was almost as fun as petting the sellers Pitbull for an hour, after going through the books. 12 completely split and detached, haven't identified and located the back cover yet. WR is a solid reader though
  7. I have this book with a damaged case. Considering a reholder. Could I request that it retain the older looking label? Thank you ladies and gents.
  8. That didn't take long Congrats my friend
  9. Not sure what I'm seeing/not seeing at front cover lower right corner...??? 8.0 as is Book needs attention, then grading immediately afterwards.
  10. 9.6 is a solid grade... Humans & cgc (comprised of humans) are fallible. Don't be too disappointed.
  11. So you don't even know if there are any defects in the books? Pretty important to ensure they are fully intact.
  12. You must have read them at least once or twice. If you are going to sell, clean & press, then grading is the way to get a solid and fair offer. If you just want to keep them as is, nothing wrong with that either.
  13. Gocollect algorithm... tries to predict values as best they can. Uses CGC and CBCS sales info? Whereas GPA CGC reported sales only? I like to use both sites, as well as eBay, and threads here on the boards.
  14. That is quite the roi. I listed a raw copy elsewhere, and had nary a look. I was a bit frustrated at the time, but feeling much better about it now.
  15. That first one a seller has to package and ship, is an eye opening experience.
  16. I wish I could solve it all for you. I understand how the tax system works a bit, and why it is necessary. If I were a wealthy man, I would have professionals trying to save me as much of MY MONEY as possible, legally. I cannot write tax bills, and sign them into law. I can however vote. I often wonder how many tax dollars are generated by a single dollar bill over its lifespan in America. How many times, a single widget is taxed because it trades hands.
  17. I want to thank the Tax Man for TAKING his cut of our happiness, our enjoyment, our hobby, and applying it to who knows what and where for the betterment of us all.
  18. It only seems to happen, when I'm trying to list something for sale, buy something, or just check out the boards for our clubs latest finds. Otherwise it has been working perfectly.
  19. Quality Control.. comes to mind when I hear a tale such as this. Or rather, lack thereof.
