  1. Who were the major good guys in the Platinum age? Tracy comes to mind... did he ever have a dealing with more than a single villain in this age? Would a villain from this era be considered a Super Villain? idk..
  2. A good friend and I threw in together and bought 4 high grade Flash books... 106, 108, 110, and 116. We passed on the 105... just a bit out of reach price wise. I picked up this one for my pc to placate my need for a 105. Not a high grade book, but still happy to have it.
  3. Interesting video, interesting folks.
  4. If your friend is willing to sell to a comic book store, let him know you would match their price.. go with him to the lcs. Your friend can be happy, and you will definitely be happy.
  5. That black cover is tough on a guy.. 7.5
  6. Beautiful book. Never ceases to amaze me how these older books retain that superior page quality. GLWTS
  7. To find an original owner collection, small - large, with some nice surprises in the lot. Searching is as much fun as owning, and enjoyable as passing along a few to new owners. Made one road trip this year, would like to make many more this coming year. A couple of books to pursue: Superman 2 or Batman 2.
  8. Watched a 4.0 cgc Showcase #6 sell on H.A. tonight.. a lil heat, maybe...? Just under $800 with the vig
  9. I played them often as a youngster in the 70's. Took a few to school so other kids could listen to them... fellow student wanted them more than I and took them home, without my permission. One was an Elvis
  10. Great book. Happy that you were able to obtain another. Love the old school ballpoint pen sigs... lets the art show through much better.. imho
  11. My second #8... and first graded copy. Nothing special, but happy to have it.
  12. I don't actively collect, but I do have my mother's 45 collection. She purchased most when first out of high school.. 1955. Some pretty good music for sure.
  13. Restored to original condition except for new carb. 4 speed, super track pack, leather, but no console.
  14. Rarely, if ever, am I the first to offer a grade on this page. I really need to work on my very substandard skills in this area. Tough one for me...so many of the normal things look pretty good. Corners look nice, few creases or dents to covers, just one small tear seen on bc, maybe a dust shadow..?? Then the rest: Staple nearly detached at centerfold, maybe rust migration, interior page separation at spine, outer spine wear, spine split, some staining near the small spidey in upper left corner...3.0ish. I hope I am under grading, this is a great issue.
  15. lol... boxes of Baker's. And I've purchased my third M Baker book.
  16. That large square bound book towards the center.. could we see that one?
  17. That Diary Secrets 28 is gorgeous. I just love the large characters on this cover.
  18. WWBN is a great run for this time of year. I really need to improve my grading skills. Only hurting myself if I don't... I was thinking 4.0-4.5.
  19. Don't worry about it too much. I've been there, and will probably continue to be there from time to time.
