  1. No because all facsimiles are reprints. But there are plenty of reprints that aren't facsimiles. For example reprints with variant covers, comics that reprint multiple titles, like Marvel Tales. And second and third printings that came out roughly the same time as the first printing I feel don't really qualify as facsimiles.
  2. All facsimiles are reprints but I don't think all reprints are facsimiles.
  3. Bumping this. I got a bunch of foreign books in and I dont wanna send them in if they aren't going to be labeled right.
  4. Without doing a deep comparison I would say it looks legit. Even more so if the signature is on the inside of the book as that was more commonplace back in the day.
  5. That's interesting. If these were all distributed in multipacks how could someone have found a case of them? Unless he pulled them from the bags.
  6. He should contact eBay and try to have those removed.
  7. Is there a place on the forums where people can talk about their experiences with pressing themselves? Or would CGC not like that since they offer it as a service?
  8. This is one of the worst I've seen. I'm done with CGC until they figure out their problems. I'm still going to be submitting books in a couple months. It's going to be CGC's decision who I go with.
  9. I would kill for a Tom Baker signing but it probably will never happen.
  10. I just had to send back a Secret Wars 8 canadian that was missed.
  11. Keep in mind I'm not super knowledgeable on this subject, but is it possible that these were distributed in the UK, but specifically in an area that used American Dollars. Like perhaps a military base? Edit: I do acknowledge that Harvey books would be a strange thing to distribute to military personnel, but there are examples of Disney Mark Jewelers Inserts.
  12. The top left corner has some crunching where the tear is. As if it were bumped.
  13. Maybe not at this current moment, but No Way Home was extremely successful. There are kids that will remember this movie into adulthood. And people are always trying to relive their childhood.
  14. Forgot to mention i also requested a clean and press to get the best grade possible
  15. Just sent this in for the Perez signing. It was the nicest copy I could afford on short notice. Thanks!
  16. Great. I wonder if they still would have been sold if cgc dealt with this sooner.
  17. Very happy to have a response to this. Hopefully Bad Idea respects the request not to sell them. And hopefully CGC doesn't do something like this in the future.
  18. Only they aren't taking their company seriously because if suspicions are confirmed, a company has the ability to contact CGC and literally purchase grades. It's not "fun and games, or a prank, or a stunt. It was a bad business decision they refuse to explain themselves for. They advertise themselves as impartial. They should stick to that.
  19. I did some perusing and couldn't find a thread dedicated to miscut errors. So I figured I would start one. Here's one to start off.
  20. There is no way this is the pay for graders. I could make more working at McDonald's.
  21. What is this atrocity? "Spiderman meets the Wolverine?!?!?"
  22. They themselves said they would respond. They shouldn't have said anything if they were going to try and make this fly under the radar.
  23. Is there actually quality control at CGC? I 100 percent am seriously thinking they may have quietly removed that step from the process to try to speed up grading on the massive volume of books they are getting in. I imagine there's alot of problems where people just won't go through the hassle of sending the book back. Every single submission I have sent out has had some small problem with some of the books. Misspelled words. Small cracks. Missing notations. It might be cheaper for them to just send back books with errors. It's cheaper to just fix the books that get returned rather than every single one. I can not be convinced that a book that was put in the holder upside down went through any sort of quality control.
  24. Personally I would probably pay up to 1k. And even then that's the absolute highest. Very cool tho.
