X-men 94-142 raw. I tried recently to piece together the same run graded but fizzled out after about ten books. It got too expensive too quickly. It’s my favorite run of comics of all time. I’m just starting to put together a Thor god of thunder run. I’m about 1/3 of the way there.

Two sanded down 1 by’s with stainless brackets. Rotated books about every month.

Valiant released Metal cover variants a couple years back for their new number 1’s. Awesome to look at!!

Thor 1 Ribic variant. This is the series that picks up where god of thunder leaves off. So many great modern Thor covers.

King Thor 1 2nd print. Ribic cover. Gorr has potential. This book came out late last year even though Gorr was “killed” in 2014. Thor killed him in the God of Thunder series but way in the future. That leaves a lot of time that Gorr could pop up.

Good work. All solid. The 2&6 are the winners. 5 is not a bad cover either.

Any of the Thor GOT or any Thor Aaron run for that matter is a great read. Also a lot of the Esad Ribic covers are amazing. Rumors of Gorr being in the new movie doesn’t hurt the #2 at all. Also, #6 is hot due to Knull. Also, Jane as Thor premiers in GOT 25. Great run all around! A 9.8 GOT #2 Acuna variant sold on eBay last month for like $950. Wow!

On a roll with Manara. I found this little gem locally from a collector who had duplicates. Worthy addition to the collection.

Still picking up random Thor: God of Thunder books. Love ‘em!

Such a good cover on a tremendous series. It’s one of the better runs I have ever read. Definitely top 10.

That Moon Knight 6 is really cool. David Finch sure can draw. Also, Batgirl 23 is one of my favorites and in my opinion in the top 5 modern variants.

Just doing a little early morning organization before wife and kids wake up. I love the early 90’s chromium golds from VALIANT. They look so good together. Also, these two modern variants are my favorite non big two comics. When VALIANT came back on the scene in 2012 they had about six years where they cranked out amazing covers and had really good cohesive stories. I wish it would have lasted.

Came in today. Very nice. Next up will probably be Thor: god of thunder 25 variant.

Ok cool. I understand exactly what you are saying and I agree that it happens a lot in moderns. My views of Dell Otto and Hughes are that they transcend “flavor of the month” status. Flavor of the month implies an ebb and flow as you stated. Sure when a new and hot artist comes along they are the flavor that month and inevitably some will fade and others will rise but some artists pass through that status and continue on just as popular. All flow and no ebb. This is just my opinion too. Also, I would love to own OA from either Hughes or Dell Otto.

Are you saying Hughes and Dell Otto are flavor of the month? Those are two of the best cover artists of all time. Also, JSC has some amazing work out there. Please clarify for me because I didn’t think anyone could not like Adam Hughes. That Catwoman run is great. Not trying to start a scrap, just curious.

Absolutely love the Thor god of thunder run. Art and story are excellent. This is the #2 issue and a hard to find Acuna variant I picked up today. Also, this Wolverine variant was waiting when I got home. Yay!

It’s his best cover in my opinion. Some might say it’s the best cover printed in the modern age. It’s my favorite for sure.

Came in the mail today. Worthy addition to my Black Cat collection and really striking in hand. Instant classic for me.

This will probably be my next one. When I find something new to me in the comic world, I go all in and research as much as possible. This right here is a very rare comic. Very, very rare!

Crazy coincidence story. I have always liked the uncanny x-force 5 Psylocke variant but have only looked randomly. I have known about Manara but he wasn’t firmly on my collecting radar. After this thread was started I began looking seriously for the x-force 5. I bought a raw copy on eBay yesterday and was planning on posting a picture once it came in. Today as I walked in to my LCS the owner said, “I bought a box of modern variants from a guy off the street and it had these in it. Do you know who the artist is?” I said yes and I’ll take em! Both easy NM.

Purchased these when I was 36. They were my first Kirby’s. BTW, I’m 39 now. I didn’t get back into collecting till I was 34. Big Cap fan so they were must haves.

VALIANT! Oh yeah. Can’t have one with out the other.

I am not sure where to ask this and I know it is a noobish question but why do threads get locked? Does it have to be reported or does a mod just stumble upon it. Who ultimately decides if the content is inappropriate? Not trying to start trouble just curious. Are there rules anywhere in the forums to follow specifically or is it unspoken rules? Thanks.
