  1. I will double your money right now. AND throw in an All Select 2
  2. Pages 1,2 and 3 sold March 8 2020. https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/detective-comics-27-page-1-only-dc-1939-cgc/a/7224-96088.s?ic4=GalleryView-ShortDescription-071515 https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/detective-comics-27-page-3-only-dc-1939-cgc/a/7224-96090.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515 Page 1 went for $13k and 2 and 3 for $11k each. For some reason the page 2 sale no longer shows up in archives, and is instead reoffered tomorrow. You can compare the unusual cuts of the pages and know that tomorrow's page comes from the same source as the ones that sold in March Page quality is cream to offwhite
  3. That’s tomorrow. Right now it’s at $10k with the vig. first time it sold, it went for $11k. I don’t think we know why that sale, which was just a coupla months ago, did not complete
  4. This book was a $50k PPP book Before the corona, but stumbled a bit in the last few months. If a book that looks like this goes for $78k, I guess it’s back in the saddle
  5. $78k. Considering the eye appeal, that’s an amazing price. Maybe we are back to $50k PPP
  6. If this Little Nemo were any more bleached out, it would be like buying a blank canvas. but up to $60k
  7. I like this book and have it on my watch list(and yes, I already know I missed the boat on this one, but it fits my “buy high, sell low” mantra) In coming down to the wire on the Heritage auction, I am reviewing the playing field, and I just noticed what looks like foxing on the back cover. That is not necessarily a killer for me, but I think it’s one of those things about which hobbyists have definite opinions
  8. Thanks. I figured if they are holding the auction at all, they somehow got themselves qualified as essential business. I guess that in itself is a bit bonkers. And then as @lou_fine points out, social distancing is never hard. Other than the bevy of Heritage employees, It’s usually just me and John verzyl’s kids
  9. I guess I missed that part. The auction is just up the way for me and I thought I’d go. maybe not?
  10. I knew I'd seen that statement recently, too. @tth2is on top of things here!
  11. I don't think the data is available, which amazes me, but I am also interested in Bat 1 Dot, No-Dot print runs. I think the common wisdom here on the boards is that the No-Dot version came first, and that the Dot version out numbers the No-Dot version 10 to 1(this estimate was given to me by @Filter81 Does anybody know?
  12. Yours is a lone but persistent voice. It’s a voice I happen to agree with
  13. This would be like owning the first Apple computer. Fame and fortune would surely follow
  14. That’s when I met you, at these regional shows, but not until the early 90’s. based on your “walking through the snow in bare feet” travails, I was steeling myself for a much darker end to the story. I’m glad you worked it out
  15. CC listed this book for $25k less a month ago(or just a couple pages back in this thread, depending on what yardstick you prefer). Sadly, whether it’s $900k or $925k, there’s no seat at that table for me.
