  1. A 3.0 just sold on the bay for 16450. Looked pretty nice too.
  2. Does the hidden message always say this is the hidden message? Looks like it's time to reread my groos
  3. I've read a lot of Groo. I've never found a hidden message I'm beginning to think it's an inside joke.
  4. Amen. Always preferred the art in that little box over an ugly UPC code.
  5. Wish I did. I had a small pile (3) copies of secret war 8's I rebagged last year, finally, after 20 years with their dollar price tag. Picked up in 2000 on my way into the navy from a comic shop that decided to get out of back issues.
  6. I've always had my suspicions, but this proves it.
  7. Lol, I just saw the book you posted, fantastic book! Had it on my watch list 😁 Amazing book, Iove single series.
  8. Me too! Being shipped from Canadia so it might be several wwwks though Thankfully, I didnt have to "shovel" out too much for it.
  9. See, the way I avoid getting restored books on ebay is to just troll the cheapies. I feel safe buying say a $20 Jughead annual 6 without fear of resto, because who would even bother?
  10. Were I to buy one, I'd go with DD. Good value for how important the book is (grew up on DD in the early 90s). But avengers 1 is undeniably the bigger book.
  11. Sorry for the new topic, but I searched and cant find any relating to this book I could piggyback on. I recently got a copy of Hawkshaw the Detective and I'm curious if I'm missing several pages. I cant find much about this book online, other than a heritage auction that states the book has 24 pages. My copy has 16. I've gone through the book a few times, and cant see where any pages are missing. It has the title page, which connects to the last page. The centerfold story seems to continue flawlessly, so I'm thinking that the missing pages arent from the centerfold either. The last page ( connecting to the title page) does seem to end the book prematurely. If anyone has a 1917 copy of this book, could you let me know if it actually is supposed to have 24 pages?
  12. Might get more eyeballs if you post them for sale in here. https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/forum/61-goldensilverbronze-age-only/
  13. If hes interested in readers, I'd suggest the marvel unlimited ap and a large cheap tablet. I've had it for a few weeks now and its blown me away. I would have killed to have had access to all these comics as a kid.
  14. Interesting. I bought a case from the other grading company last year, and was disappointed that it opened upon the middle. Ended up just cracking the book out, since it was just a mid grade restored old romance book.
  15. Not to mention that this is a book where a stan sig makes sense, unlike 95% of the other ones out there.
  16. I swear we used to have a mail delivery van that was painted like the mystery machine. https://www.ruralinfo.net/rural-carrier-delivers-mail-in-a-mystery-van.html
  17. Hmm, good point with the 10 year ago to today example. I predict that 10 years from now, the CGC dial will go to 11.
  18. What you don't see is the bill for 3 presses and resubmissions
