  1. Purchased another ASM 129 to add to my Punisher collection. Fast 2 day shipping!
  2. No problem, its yours. But where does that say that is frowned upon? First time I've done that, but I am pretty sure I have seen it many times on these sale pages and no one says anything. Heck even when selling or buying I will get PM messages saying that other people will take if buyer backs out.
  3. Who knows what the future brings though? I mean there are people out there who say their only Superman is Christopher Reeves. Meanwhile all the people under the age of 25 are asking who is Christopher Reeves???
  4. Agreed. I agree with your thoughts. But that's what this world has come to though, seems like people are so quick to complain. A customer can have 300 cups of coffee at the same Starbucks, but all it takes is 1 messed up order and they go ranting on Yelp, google reviews, etc. about how bad that coffee was.
  5. I absolutely made up those numbers. No doubt. Also no one knows the real answer. I wouldn't be surprised if thousands of books are graded daily. But its like the saying goes, bad news travels faster than good news. Everyone looks at the one bad carrot in a bag full of good carrots.
  6. 3 seems to be landslide victorious. But it would help if you put what grade ASM 50 you are looking at and how much you are paying for each. I mean if you are getting ASM 3 at FMV and ASM50 at $1500 under FMW, I would be swayed to go Kingpin. Of course if you have pics of the books, we could help make your decision as well.
  7. No joke. During medical school I almost dropped a baby. GPA 4,3,0 meaning 4th pregnancy, 3 births thus far, 0 abortus. Got her in the ready position to push. I was catching. She pushed one time. Seriously one time and the baby came flying out. Was totally unprepared and almost dropped the slippery booger. And that's why I now do anesthesia.
  8. He for sure will be the next generation's Peter Parker. No doubt. I've heard that if you ask grade school kids who Spider-man is? Some will say PP, some will say MM.
  9. That indeed is true. But two things to blame. 1. Submission rate has multiplied exponentially. I wouldn't be surprised compared to 5 years ago that they are doing 5x the amount of books. 2. They hired a bunch on new green graders to keep up with the demand.
  10. In the end we are tough on CGC because they are the gold standard. But mistakes happen. They probably make what 10 mistakes per 5,000 books? That would be 0.2%. I'm sure plenty of us have bosses who could only dream that our mistake rate is 0.2%. Heck, I do chart reviews at work and we average about 92% correct, 8% incorrect each month.
  11. 250+ slabs in my collection and I've never read the fine print until now. LOL. Thanks.
  12. what do you mean that isnt how it works anymore? Did they change? I always heard it was 3 seperate graders then coming up with a number. CGC website still shows its a team effort, but no further description:
  13. WTF How the hell did this pass? At least 3 graders would have to seen this book. And it's not everyday you get a Superman #1 come thru (71 Universal grades on the census and 0 Signature) , surely they would have said "hey boss come take a look at this".
