  1. I truly believe that if comics were inexpensive and available at all grocery stores kids would buy them. Not all kids but enough. Print on cheaper paper to cut costs. As for what I would like: draw, ink, and color by hand on paper. I really can’t stand the garish computer coloring.
  2. Thank you for that link! I’m going to get some of those and forget about AFA. I’ve only got one carded Joe, I think I’ll sell it before the band breaks. Thank you guys for the help, I haven’t bought any toys in ten years and I’m out of touch. Are there any price guides online for SW figures? Like gocollect or covrprice for comics?
  3. Do you guys have any experience submitting to AFA? I’ve had my comics graded by cgc and have thought of getting some of my vintage sealed sw and joe figs graded. $35 per fig seems pricey, does grading improve the resale value enough to justify it? Do buyers prefer graded figures to “raw?”
  4. They were so inconsistent with how they marked reprints for those first few issues. You have to look in the indicia for some, it can get confusing. Question: were there other marvel series that had reprints that predate these?
  5. It’s a famous cover, they’ve made t-shirts of it in the past, and magnets and other stuff also.
  6. The red ones were the original release last year. The blue ones came out recently. I have no idea about print runs 🤷‍♂️
  7. I think of the 90’s as more of a “dark age “ than the copper 80’s. It could be the foil age. I don’t feel like the comics in the 2000’s feel like any kind of age. Just variants variants everywhere. Honestly I feel like we’re in a dark age now. Despite all the movies it doesn’t feel like many average people read comics anymore
  8. I live right next to Dr No’s. I buy new books there but they don’t have a good selection of back issues and they are pretty expensive, I wouldn’t bother looking for back issues there.
  9. That is interesting. It does look like Mr sinister. Why would Colossus be hanging out with Magnetos followers? This is a neat find, I’m curious to see what it turns out to be.
  10. It’s crazy. I wish all 90’s stuff was going up.
  11. An inflation calculator says that $1 in 1975 would be $4.84 today, so Spiderman 1 would be around $260. Can you imagine? Hulk 1 for $125?!? Of course a .25 cover price in 1975 would now be $1.20.
  12. A lot of sites are saying it’s the first Kenobi also, and the show announcement has got them speculating...
  13. I can’t imagine that these kind of prices are sustainable.
  14. Yep, the ones I got were different than the ones shown above for the same front books. Some of them are older too PS are the pics in this thread showing for you guys? They’ve disappeared on my browser
  15. Nobody seems to like 9.6’s, which is crazy to me. I guess it makes for good bargains though?
  16. This is the main thing that bothers me about the sequels and prequels, it used to make so much sense in the original movies when luke and leia were the last and vader didn’t know about them. Now it feels like a mess.
  17. What are the differences in the spiderverse issue?
  18. Is rogue one getting any attention after the cassian andor show preview?
  19. I saw these today. Are they the same printing as the first time they were in stores?
  20. That’s true of all the star wars comics, but for some reason the first appearance of ahsoka is worth many times what the much older first appearance of vader, luke, leia, han, etc. is.Must be a generational thing, I don’t understand it
  21. The original Marvel Star Wars run gets no love outside of Boba Fett appearances
  22. I’m not a fan of the sequels, but Luke did that after training Ben/Kylo right? This is only five years after ROTJ, so Ben would be too young in Mando times. EDIT: oops, awakeintheashes beat me to it
  23. Maybe the 35 cent variant. The regular Star Wars 1 is nowhere near that valuable. That’s crazy money
  24. Luke is out there... wouldn’t he be the obvious choice?
