  1. I’ll undercut him, I’ll list ten copies in a lot for HALF that price. Who could turn down a deal like that?
  2. Is the 2nd print rare? I’ve got the first print and I didn’t think it was worth that much
  3. That’s awesome, great job getting that sketch! I do remember the first time I saw that panel, I was expecting him to look much worse based on the reactions of other characters who have seen him. I guess you can’t get too gruesome on a kid friendly book though
  4. I haven’t been able to get into the new stuff. The original series is great fun, grab them before the snake eyes movie comes out in the off chance that they may get expensive. I got a really nice #1 on ebay less than a year ago for $20 in a lot with 3 other books, can’t find a deal like that anymore
  5. I think the original series is a good candidate for completionists since there are only a few expensive issues. I don’t know how anyone can do that with modern books because of all the variants?
  6. I picked up a walmart pack today with bounty hunters 1/avengers 24/gwenpool strikes back 1 2nd pnt. They had a lot of copies of empyre books but this was the only one of these so I grabbed it. I personally think it’s cool that walmart carries these, maybe they’ll introduce comics to a wider audience
  7. I don’t understand how the first app of Ahsoka Tano eclipses the first app of Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, the droids and Star Wars itself. I guess I’m getting old
  8. sounds like a fun store, I wish I could find stuff like this for cheap 🙂
  9. I agree, 20-50 was my favorite period too, though I would include the 60s issues also. I liked the story line where Stalkers team was captured and snake eyes rescued them. I stopped reading as a kid somewhere around issue 86 I think, maybe I’ll try to catch up. I think the special missions series is underrated. It focused more on military type missions and some lesser used characters like Recondo.
  10. That’s interesting. I don’t know anything about madame web as a character, is this the same character? Three years before her 1st app? In this ad they seem to know each other. Cool find! 🙂
  11. It’s funny to think that for the longest time Joe 26 was worth way more than 21. Last year I found a nice 26 in a dollar box. X-men 94 worth 75% of gsxm? I was thinking it’s closer to 25% Has it gained ground?
  12. That’s awesome! What a cool thing for him to do!
  13. That’s what my walmart version has. I think they’re not exclusive but they are cheaper than cover price
  14. As a recovered toy collector these remind me of mighty muggs, they were hot for a minute. I still have my Stormshadow one. I wonder why these became so popular and other similar products didn’t?
  15. I stopped reading in the mid 90’s and just started again last year. The comics from the 90’s don’t feel anything like today’s books to me. The cover layouts are different, the paper is different, the art and coloring are different. I have a hard time understanding the continuity between all the different volumes of the same books now. To me the copper and bronze age books feel a LOT more similar to each other than 90’s books do to today’s books.
  16. Are you saying you got that gorgeous 94 for 50 cents?! You could get 700 of those for what I paid for mine ☹️
  17. 2 is a great story, sooo much better than 1. Back in the 80’s it was the most valuable issue. I’m not sure why it lost its popularity. 1 for two dollars?! I had stopped collecting by the late 90’s but I’ve never seen one for less than ten. Jealous! 🙂
  18. I seem to remember reading somewhere that they didn’t want Wolvie to look like he’s stabbing Captain America in the head 😄
  19. Like everyone else I bought each cover when it came out. Now I have more than 10 and I don’t remember where I got them all 🤔. My favorite is the one that folds out to show all the covers together It is fun to have some historically interesting “keys” that I’m not afraid to read 🙂 PS: notice how in this version Wolverine has both claws out
  20. Here’s my childhood copy and a graded one I picked up last year 🙂
  21. These are neat, I haven’t heard of most of these characters. They look like fun reads. 🙂 I liked the star jammers, but the guardians have already kind of cornered that genre I think.
