  1. I attribute 100% of Iron Fist's flux to how unpopular his Netflix series became. Perfect example of pure hype in the market. I am wondering now if the Inhumans had a similar rise and fall in prices
  2. Great, another Dylan book surfacing. I really don't know how CGC is going to get out of this one. How many of these books are out there?!
  3. Neither. Don't send them since CGC does not count Sigantures they did not witness and they wont authenticate them. They will instead consider your signature as writing on the cover and penalize you for them. So just keep them and enjoy them.
  4. I am about to send a book in where the only issue is rusty staples. And they arent that bad, its just at their extremities and we see it,s dark around the edges. Very curious to know the grade. Will report back when I know. I think the reason why this is so nebulous is that rusty staples are not indicative of use/wear/tear. it's like oxidation or fading. A book can be mint (as in, never touched or opened) and yet depending on a myriad of reasons end up with rusty staples. So it's not a defect due to use and that's why CGC may be more lenient.
  5. Has that ever happened? I have never seen such a thing. If you have a pic, please share.
  6. But it wouldn't be a 9.8. Anyways, this is a case where they signed the slab.
  7. Just curious, but if someone clicks on that link, do they also get bombarded with sponsor listings of female comic characters wearing almost nothing?
  8. Then you should avoid slabbing as much as possible. So, any update? Your case has been making me quite curious and I really do hope it works out the best way possible for you.
  9. The best place would be to contact these guys: https://www.mycomicshop.com/webuycomics/consignmentterms They will help you sell them on their site and will even send to CGC on your behalf if hey think it's worth sending in.
  10. No, they wont. For authenticating autographs, you can only do that at their main competitor CBCS, which will give you a yellow label.
  11. 4.5 and if its for your personal collection, then sure why not. Pressing would make it nicer (though not improve the grade) and it's fun to get a SS series Bagley for one of the character he is most famous for. but you gotta hurry, CGC is closing submission s in 3 days and the post has delays.
  12. 5.0. Not too sure about how faded the cover is but it's not what is impacting the grade.
  13. Your right on the ball, that colour break stops the comic from getting an 8.0 so it's 7.5 tops but could be lower.
  14. 8.0-8.5. You will make more money selling it raw than going through CGC.
  15. It's too far away, we would really need scans of the book
  16. Oh man that looks beautiful! I would say a 7.0, due to the chipping.
  17. Oooouuuuu Sam Keith, that would be something. Also, been reading through all the wishlists and I don't see a lot of demand for JR JR..... glad to know you all have taste!
  18. Makes sense. Wolverine is a far more popular character and I'd expect his arch nemesis to be worth way more than a character few people ever cared about and that only got hype for a show that turned out disappointing.
  19. Just curious, between Detective Comics 647 and 648, which one has the market settled on as the book to own for now?
  20. And now he's been immortalized in the Academy Awards as well. I'd say this is the most credit he's ever been given in a official capacity:
  21. John Romita Sr Andy Kubert Grant Morrison Neil Gaiman Scott Snyder (I know we just got him, but I missed it) Walter Simonson
  22. Especially when you could like a raw ASM 361 for the value of a 9.4/9.6 and someone will still pay that thinking they can squeeze a 9.8 out of it (or get it signed and then squeeze a 9.8 out of it).
  23. Oh man, Miller's DD has been going DOWN. Even the biggest key: It's not like all collectors have infinite amount of money. If something else is hot, they will just gravitate towards something else, selling off what is not hot and so some books will go down while others go up. I would be very curious to see how well Ultimate Fallout 4 does in 20 years from now. When it comes to first appearances, you still have to rely on scarcity and demand. Because saying a blanket statement that you can't go wrong with first appearance will leave you like this. Sold May 2016: Sold July 2020: And I wont leave the OP hanging, if you want to get a headache, check the fluctuating prices on the 3 books battling to be the main book to own for Kamala Khan.
