  1. Would you be comfortable knowing your book is between a 6.0 and 7.0? Because that's what I think it would get. If yes, then keep your book.
  2. Why would you slab any book? Same reason you'll have for that apply to this. Some people like owning slabs. If you have an Amazing Fantasy 15 with more than half the inner pages missing but it still has a nice cover, slabbing it would add it's sale price to the GPA and you could establish a market and fair market value for a grade that would otherwise be hard to do that with. Just an example of one reason. Replying to myself because I have the answer now and if it helps anyone else, then great. I misread the definition of NG, I thought "one half or more" meant half of an inner page missing, but it's half of all inner pages. That makes much more sense. So to answer the original question, 0.5 ends when more than half of all inner pages are missing.
  3. While I am not actively participating, I still tried and I did pretty well except for Shang Chi, I overgraded that book quite a bit. Gotta admit though, that is one good looking 4.0.
  4. TIME TO BUY!!!!!!! Anyways, I have 20 000 saved away waiting for a crash. Gonna wait a bit longer. With no flights from europe to the US, the repercussions can be unlike anything we've ever seen in our lifetime.
  5. Thanks, I was indeed thinking of books below 50K (hell, I was looking at below 8K, I aint a millionaire), since those were the ones I was looking at, hoping for a deal which didn't come.
  6. Yeah, we'll see no effect. I don't remember seeing a dip in 2008 either. I am talking in regards to keys (the question asked).
  7. Sadly, only CGC can help you here, better post in the sub forum called "ask CGC"
  8. But isn't the CGC grade based on the inner cover? So how can we be spot on?
  9. Interesting, so by definition, this listing is not correct in its grade: https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?ItemID=50800772 right? or does their One Half or more of interior pages reffer only to story/art pages?
  10. Are you 100% sure it was not like that originally? I ask because what I see above and what you describe sounds very normal for CGC slabs from the past 8 years. They were meant to open up at that spot that way.
  11. Only send them in if they are of super high grade. And by that I mean no blunted corners, no creases. They have to look perfect. Or else it's not worth it, especially since the shipping to and from the UK would be nuts. You maximise your revenue most by spending as little as possible, unsold slabs will just eat away at any profit. So what you should do first is look at those books and check if they are immaculate. If not, compare them to the same books on e-bay when you filter for only "sold listings". Then put them on e-bay for a similar price to the books you found that sold. And you can reap in your money. Extra note: for Sandman, issue 4 is hot too (first lucifer) and keep issue 10 till next year. That has the first appearance of a character that is gonna get more screen time than he did in the books.
  12. you can filter all that bs out by just looking using the "items sold" filter.
  13. We joke, but I think there's some truth to it. Then again, these are rare golden age comics where only one comic in that specific grade is sold once every other year. I am amazed at how many times Heritage will list a Fawcett item now that has 0 previous sales through them (in terms of specific grade and issue). And yeah, if you check the GPA for Fawcett books sold these past 6 months, quite a few of those are to me. I would rather buy raw, but many of these books that come on the market are slabbed and since there is no premium for these books slabbed, I'll take em.
  14. Yeah that was me. That same book sold as a raw VG in 2017 for 179. Too bad there isn't more info than those few sales, was curious to see if there was a trend or not.
  15. Oh man, I just realized this shows a 5.0 sold for more than this 6.0. Something's happening. I don't have access to GPA (I think), would you mind pulling up Captain Marvel Jr 28. That book seems to be in free fall.
  16. Those are great finds on your end. I hope to find them too (I might, who knows) but prices have definitely gone up since your finds. And sadly, I am also invested in stocks so if they go down, I won't have too much money to purchase with. Unless I finally choose to sell my silver age marvel keys that don't seem to slow down. And hell yeah on me affecting that GPA!
  17. Haha, exactly the question to expect from someone with that username.
  18. And speaking of Captain Marvel Adventures 16, now that's another awesome GA cover. Uncle Sam is about to whoop some butt!
