  1. That box folded like an accordion. IMO the boxes CGC now uses DO NOT provide enough protection. Please bring back the old style boxes. Fortunately CGC will be open this AM.
  2. Was the #4 from a seller in Florida? Intergalactic I believe.
  3. This. I have seen books that were "Universal" move to "qualified or restored" at this stage.
  4. Doesn’t force you, but in the event of damage you wouldn’t be able to recover FMV. That and CGC would likely bump you to the higher tier anyway.
  5. Frustrating to submitters, especially when you pay extra to have books fast tracked, but we should take it as a good sign indicating the health of the hobby.
  6. What if modern books now make up the overwhelming majority of recent submissions? At the last few shows I have attended, the overwhelming majority of books I witnessed being handed over to CGC were modern/modern SS.
  7. Possibly brittle, which would be a grade killer. Had an early superman #10 that was a PGX 7.0 drop down to CGC 3.0 because the interior pages were brittle.
  8. Not as high, but the rate of pre-screen rejects has gone up. Must have hired new graders again.
  9. Looks like we may need a new thread. Time from receipt of package/drop-off to received.
  10. Seriously doubt you will get this to 6.5 let alone a 7.0, so I would save my money.
  11. This. Actually had two copies but the second sold for a little less.
  12. Wolverine #35. Paid $1.00 for it in June and sold it for cash and trade for $1,200.00 in August.
  13. What if they missed some resto? We’ve all seen that happen, as rare as it should be. All things considered, the book will most likely be CPR’d at some point in the future, so it might as well be you. It has a very good chance at getting the grade bump.
  14. That’s too funny. Actually, I am deathly allergic to cat hair. Can always tell when I get in books from a cat lover...I have to wear a mask to work on the books.
  15. +1 and I think this one may be a book that has light foxing all over it. Need to see better pictures.
  16. The book length crease is production, as Bob pointed out the color break to the right of the DC logo is not. The color break will not come out with a press.
  17. I know who’ll never win.
  18. They lock it to clean up Unnecessary noise. Once the cleanup happens they unlock it.
  19. 5.5 range. Lots that can be fixed, but a lot of color breaks that cannot be improved. .
