  1. The PGM section is a courtesy the board allows. It is not to be used to have your entire collection graded for you. Cheers
  2. There are still pressable defects on the back cover. Add to that the fact the book was overhydrated with resulting warping a second press will make the book present a lot better. Additionally, I see where some of the marvel chipping was folded over and pressed over into the wrong side of the cover. That can also be fixed.
  3. Send it to me, and I will see what I can fix. Is the missing piece gone? See if it is still floating around somewhere.
  4. No power still by me. Wonder if CGC has emergency generators.
  5. It only does, when 3-4 collectors are going after the same book. At that time there were many tied for highest Wolverine Set since they all had issue 35 in 9.6. A 9.8 copy made you king of the hill for even a brief period of time. And for some, owning the first 9.8 that comes to market is a big deal. In my line of work, producing the first 9.8 or highest census copy is a feather in your cap.
  6. Orlando had pretty high winds. 85-100 with lots of smaller trees down but no major damage in the Lake Mary area where I live. How did the South West side of Orlando do as it could be 30-40 miles closer to the eye of the storm.
  7. Purchased two copies of Wolverine 35 for $2.00 Both graded 9.8. Combined got over $2,000.00 for them both. Had $49.80 in grading fees.
  8. They might, but most batteries don't do well underwater. During storms like this the rain can find the smallest flaw and short out electronics.
  9. You'll be glad you listened. Could be weeks with no utilities and many unwelcome visitors in the form or bugs and creepy crawlers.
  10. You buy lots of bottled water, fill up a few gas cans full of fuel and stock up on canned food. I usually board up the windows but recently replaced them all with hurricane glass that is impact resistant and shatter proof. Typically with these types of storms it is roof damage and flooding that you worry about the most.
  11. New forecast models have this veering right into FLA. If it skirts either coast it could buffet the State with 75+ mph winds. Not the best scenario, but could be worse depending if it slams right into the Miami area.
  12. Have the books made their way back to Adam?
  13. 4.5 to 7.0 Daredevil 1 6.5 to 9.0 X-Men 94 7.5 to 9.2 ASM 17 9.0 to 9.8 Tomb of Dracula 1
  14. Watching this one closely. Moved everything to a secure area where there is no chance of water damage from floods. If the roof flys off, that is another issue altogether. We should be OK in Central Florida as most storms lose their punch by the time they cross the State. As if Irma wasn't enough to worry about we now have Jose forming behind her in the Atlantic.
  15. So sorry to hear Jeff and Charles. Your family will be in my prayers.
  16. IIRC it was Doc Watson who first noticed Saygers work out of our group. Needless to say I now have dozens of sketch covers and commissions from him. Great talent, but a much nicer guy you won't find.
  17. I guess I missed the real venue...most of the buyers were at the Casino all week.
  18. I could have walked away with books like that, if I was willing to overpay like you
