  1. I had no idea Paul. Losing a father is a punch in the gut, regardless of how old they are. 23 years is a long time to invest in someone. Happy to hear you are trying to make it work.
  2. Label says it all. Hulk 213 CGC 7.5 White paged price variant. 1 of 6 graded. Pressed. No one on any of my lists or the boards lists. Shipping and insurance are not included. It will be exact to your door. First gets it. $250.00
  3. You would have to do more to this book than press to realign the pages, but it can be done assuming the book was not mis-cut at the factory.
  4. Depends on the defects involved. Anything with a color break a press will not get out. Bends and defects that do not break the inks can come out of the thicker cover stock, if done by someone who knows what they are doing.
  5. They can be pressed. I have done many copies of them over the years.
  6. IIRC someone had a piece of an Action #1 cover encapsulated many years ago. Not sure if it was CGC or not, but someone here may remember that happening.

If you ask me, the wrong people have left the boards.
  8. Creases on interior pages are very common, especially in bronze age books. The dirt and dust shadow will keep this book in the VF- range. The dirt would clean up easily and the dust shadow improved on which might bump the grade up.
  9. Does the discoloration bleed into the interior part of the cover?
  10. Squarebounds press nicely, if the person working on it knows what they are doing.
  11. That’s good to know. I have a 9.0 copy on ebay for less, with no movement.
  12. What is a .5 or .2 grade bump worth these days on an ASM 300? If it is more than the CPR costs it may be worth the risk. If this book is for your private collection, leave it as is until you decide to sell.
  13. Really? CGC or any grading company will hammer the loss of ink to the front cover. That book would have graded higher with the dirt left on it. But...whatever floats your boat.
  14. Look at the creases from the inside of the cover. In many cases the inside part of the cover will have writing or advertisements. See if the creases leave a white line through these. If they do, it would be considered a color breaking crease.
  15. Short answer is yes, as offices were closed for a few days. The impact to CGC was minimal. Don't believe they had any flooding at the CGC facility as it was back to business right after the storm.
  16. Two books tonight. Ends Tuesday at Midnight. Consider all books pressed. Shipping is additional (exact to your door). No one on any list (even my personal ignore list). First is the that is true for in the thread or via PM. Time stamp will be king. First up is Hulk #199 CGC 9.4 with White Pages. $250.00
