  1. I think this is great. He acknowledged his mistake and made well on his end of the deal. Even though it took the probation list to help complete this sale, the ending was as you had hoped. Congrats. (thumbs u Andy
  2. Glad you like the books, Fay, and yeah, I believe that Sergeant looks quite a bit like Rock. Enjoy your purchases! (thumbs u Andy
  3. If I had to guess, I think I'd be right.
  4. Good job on getting those SSWS books, Karma! They look pretty nice. (thumbs u Nice pick ups, Shep! By the way, save up your pennies. I'll be setting up at the Toronto Comicon on April 18/19. Andy
  5. Big props to lizards2, HouseofComics.com, Whisp, flatrock02, Jeffro, REHfan, CapFreak, capt_comics, bigfiver69, and Fazybones for purchases in my recent sales thread. Thanks to all! Andy
  6. Whoa! Knock your socks off books!! Andy
  7. Kudos to Whisp for a smooth transaction from my latest war sale. (thumbs u Andy
  8. That's really interesting, as I never noticed these "nonsense titles" being a problem before - coincidence? probably a conspiracy like the VCC elite... If you wish to remain a member, you should edit your post
  9. This was in the guidelines not too long ago, I remember it specifically and always did my best to comply. Just checked the guidelines and that one is no longer there. I guess Arch felt it's no longer necessary or something, cause it's been pulled. Andy
  10. This just in.....my sale will be on Thursday around 7:00 PM EST. See ya there! Andy
  11. Please keep combing the sales threads looking for........... Andy's ULTIMATE DC WAR Sale! I'll have over 200 books listed. Hope to get these up on either Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. Most of the preparation has already been done, so there'll be no waiting for me to scan and such. Just a massive selection of the good stuff! (thumbs u Thanks all! Andy
  12. Welcome to kids!!! Shep, you hit the nail right on the head!!! Larry, I've got a 10 year old boy, and 8, 6, and 4 year old girls. The past decade of my life has literally been a flash... don't know where my thirties went. What's great is, now that we don't have any more infants, they are all now in that stage where they don't need 100% of the attention 100% of the time. So, I'm getting a little more time for my hobbies (check out my OTHER passion - http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8118310/tm.htm ) And, happily, my wife and I have gotten each other back too... it's like we just came up for air. Still, the expenses are massive... between Taekwando, Ballet, Skating, Music Lessons and Gymnastics, the pennies are getting pinched fo 'sho. It's killing my comic buying these days. Shep Well, Shep, if you gave up the Tae Kwon Do, Ballet, Skating, Music Lessons and Gymnastics you'd have a bit more cash (and time) for your comics. Jeez, sometimes the answers are just too easy.
  13. What a great trio, Mick! That's by far the best copy of OAAW #23 I've ever seen. (thumbs u Common thread? Star Spangled War Stories are tough. The earlier issues up to #35 probably, with a few select ones below #10 and some from #20-30 being very tough. I've always found Our Army At War to be tough for issues under #30, with the #10-15 being a bit harder. Putting these runs together has been so much fun and I'm really glad I did it. Now's probably a good time to put another one together, but that project is not for me. Books can be picked up really cheaply these days and it really is a buyer's market. If you're considering trying this, I'm here to tell you "go for it" and to give you that little push off the fence. DC war. Andy
  14. Welcome to kids!!! This is an easy trade off for me, Shep.
