I didn't say it wasn't a nice book or even a tough grade. I fully believe the book was in a 9.0 holder before. Since you asked. The right edge definitely has discoloration. From the scan there appears to be some discolration around or near the bottom staple in the shape of a semi-circle. In the scan I also see what looks like three color breaking stresses on the spine. Based on this PM exchange, one could argue that the book was still up for grabs to everyone in the marketplace except Pennynike. Since we can not see the PM exchange between the other buyer and the seller, we can't be sure, but it would appear that a deal had not been finalized, and the sellers post in the PM said that the "I'll Take it trumps" . To me this would mean that the book was still up for grabs untill an unconditional "I'll Take it" was posted. However, since Pennynike was told specifically, "I am awaiting a confirmation PM from the other party. The book made be sold at ask, I will know shortly." It could be said that he was directly eliminated from the running untill the other buyer responded. I don't see an issue here! The seller has done nothing wrong IMO.

Unfortunately it wasn't clear enough as the above appears to read that trumps offers but not whether it needs to be a thread posted to trump everything, as some sellers specify. If the PM was an accepted offer then it definitely should have been marked as sold when offer was accepted to remove the book from the market. Yep, I agree. The can be posted in a PM just the same as in the public forum. If the was at full price via PM or Public, the earliest post should win. ( and they all have a time stamp) Yes, it could and should have been written more clearly, but a seller can't be expected to monitor the boards 24/7 and immediately post that the boo has sold via PM. Since "offers" is the only term mentioned in the terms. I would take it to mean trumps in negotiations or offers that have not been accepted. Which IMO is the way it should always be.

50 plus Signature Series books coming to the Marketplace. I hope to start tonight with a list. There is a wide variety and many with multiple sigs.

I bid on that Action as well, but you can see how it turned out for me. Looked like a really nice copy, how is the back cover? A little dirty, and some light rust on the staples.
