  1. Scooped this off ebay last week. One of my favorite Superman covers. I have another fantastic Jack Burnley cover coming this week also. I can't wait to post it.

  6. Thanks. Kudos to you as well. It couldn't have gone any better.
  7. This place has become so effed up it isn't even funny. We have a bunch people posting in what seems like every single thread when there is absolutely no point at all. I think coincidentally a small group of attention mongers has turned up here all at the same time, and because there are more than one of them, they have each other to fall back on. We have people complaining about sellers that don't contribute anywhere else only coming here to sell there product, even though most of those sellers are long time members that used to contribute quite often. They probably don't contribute any longer since a decent topic can barely be noticed before it is bumped five pages back, because of 100 usless pages of nothing in a welcome to the boards thread. Some folks think that a high post count makes you a valuable member. Further more, some people think they got it all figured out an want to govern the place just because they have amassed a useless bunch of posts in a short period of time. This place is so effed up that here I am agreeing with JC and Awe4one in this thread.
  8. I think a lot of people are missing the point. It isn't that chatter or a few friendly replies are a bad thing. A social atmosphere, even in the Marketplace is a nice thing. For me there is a point of excessiveness, and it has been crossed a lot lately. It is one thing to be polite, friendly, or constructive. It is another to reply to every other post with a gremlin that doesn't even make sense half the time. Sure a friendly post is good for bumping threads and creating interest, but most of us don't live on theses boards and I can guarantee that there have been sales lost by sellers just because I don't have time to wade through 100 pointless posts to see what has been listed or still available. Some people need attention, I guess. Nothing new around here.
  9. No doubt, I'll look at the menu, but I have a feeling I'll have to settle for water.
  10. great book....the Cookeville's are just a collection because high grade is "rare" (most are lower to mid) ...and, no major keys, but lots of lengthy runs were there (both dc and timely)..mainly all superhero, I believe Thanks Rick.
  11. That is a good lookin 6.5. I'd take this White covered 6.5 anyday.
  12. My second Cap in less than a month. Life aint too bad. This appears to be a "Cookeville" book. Anyone know if this is considered a "Collection or a "Pedigree"?
  13. Got my first one of these back today along with some other goodies. Only a modern, but the only one in this grade and a modern key IMO.
  14. I originally was just going to post the higher grade slabbed copies, but these two are so hard to find. And, since you set me up so nicely Jeff.
  15. This has been a great thread, even though Jeff makes me sick. I just upgraded a couple of these so why not post them.
