Looks like you can't grade. Seriously, that last Avengers looks terrific. What made you think it was a 7.5? CGC doesn't seem to care when books at this grade level have dust shadows. Interior cover halo tanning - although light. Plus the staples are offset on the back cover which resulted in light, long vertical creasing when it was enjoyed by some youngster.

Picked up some books today that surely got hammered under the new Haspel Regime. My grade was 9.2. I thought it had a slim chance at 9.4 My grade 9.2 . This one was courtesy of Crazy Headband Dude in Chicago I was hoping for an 8.5, but was prepared for an 8.0 My grade 7.0 My grade 7.5

Mark, you're much more modest in person. Actually, I was a little apprehensive about buying it, because I had seen you and several other big dogs and dealers in Joe's booth earlier in the con, and had to wonder why it would still be hanging around. Fantastic Church copy BTW.

I had considered the FP at both of those shows, but found other things of more interest. Al had the America's Best #5 which I was not going to miss out on. So we worked a deal for the two of them. The FP is just so scarce, I figured I couldn't go wrong. I got the MF #57 from JHV. I had already pulled a few BA and SA books I was going to buy and was pleasently surprised when I asked to see the MF. Surprised it was a Larson and surprised at the asking price. This copy originally had a line of glue on the spine. I guess enough to get a PLOD from CGC. Joe had Matt remove the glue. As a result the spine edge has quite a bit of the color pulled off. I looked up the CGC 4.5 "D" copy in the Heritage archives and IMO this one blows it away. I'm pretty thrilled about it. The Crippen copy.

Although, I did bring these home from Baltimore.

I wanted to bid on this one. Congratulations. being in Baltimore made it easier to forget about the books I wanted to bid on, but had little chance of winning.

I posted these in the Just in from CGC thread in general, but figured, "What the heck? I'll post them again?" Gotta thank Bedrock for the Exciting #45. He needs to tighten up though, he graded it a 6.0/6.5 if I remember right.

Depends on the quality of his underwear.

This is the first "big time" GA book that I ever saw in real life back around '88 or so. I've wanted a copy ever since. It's still on my "likely to never own" list.
