  1. I think you're talking about some light chipping, which happens with SA Marvels, but this is really minor. Miscuts refer to covers that are not square. There would be something that doesn't look like the cover art most likely on the top/bottom edges. I give this an 8.0/8.5 after C/P, maybe a 9.0 with the SA ASM bump.
  2. The back along the spine looks bendy. The creases aren't going anywhere
  3. Looks like a readers crease most of the way down the spine. 5.5 max
  4. I was higher before I saw the stain. It will max out at 5.5.
  5. The slight fraying on the edge probably keeps this capped at 9.6
  6. Welcome. Check the pinned thread on guidelines & then edit your post in accordance with what is needed.
  7. 4.0 seems about right. It's generally better not to put your guess in the post, or use the spoiler ( ) button, so as not to bias the jury
  8. I'm going to be a little more generous with a 5.0 if some surface grim removal makes the foxing look less severe. The subscription crease & staining would set the ceiling around 5.0 regardless.
  9. Right back atcha. I have no idea how to grade these things.
  10. Around 4.0. Pretty grubby. Seeing if someone can clean it up might get to a 4.5
  11. File this in my "going down a rabbit hole & then finding someone actually has one for sale" collection. Not a ton of information out there, but this fanzine appears to be the first published work, or earliest published work that still exists, by Walt Simonson. A little information here: https://gobacktothepast.com/fabulous-find-abraxas-1-fanzine/ & Walt tweeted about this before, but I think misidentified it as a copy of "The Outsiders", a URI fanzine for which I can find no copies, scans or sells (the ebay link from >4 years ago is dead). I presume the Outsiders thing exists somewhere b/c it's listed in the GCD. Walt is visiting a con close to me this summer.... Cover is a heavier cardstock. Paper is a bit thick. This inside of the back cover (Batman) has a "400" in red that might be an indicator of which copy of a smaller print run this is, IDK. Remarkably clean & white for a fanzine that's >50 years old. Cover is not described, but looks like Mephisto
  12. Totally understand the cost to collect limitations. I think this is a great option to own an expensive issue, but not sure I would grade it. To me, it would be optimistic to expect 1.0/1.5 between a piece out & the tape residue/staining. I wouldn't be shocked by a 0.5. I certainly wouldn't pay more than 75% of the FMV for a 1.0 given the types of issues it has. I long ago gave up on owning most SA Spider-Mans
  13. Is it just me, or is that a Corner piece from a different spider-man comic taped on?
  14. I see a tiny residual dot there. Being too thorough with the cleaning always runs the risk of a purple label if they detect something "illegal". It's smaller than the little spot on my recently returned SW32, so I'd say 9.0
