  1. The enlargements are blurry. I can't tell if the BRFC has a minor defect or it's glare. I would not bet on anything over 9.4
  2. Yes, a bindery tear is a specific term for the little tears at the corners from production. IDK about magazines, but they're pretty common in some 80s Marvel comics.
  3. I am disinclined to call this a bindery tear, or at least a if it started as a bindery tear, it has been enlarged (and therefore starts getting treated as a tear). A close reading of the CGC guide does describe tape not being a separate defect when used for repair (& does not lead to a restored grade), but they do characterize it as a "substance," so any discoloration, residue, etc. could be dinged. I think they leave some of these things ambiguous intentionally. I thing this scores a 6.0 if submitted.
  4. 8.5ish. I'd say ceiling is 9.0 just b/c the corners all have imperfections of different types
  5. maybe 7.0/7.5 c/p'd. If that gunk on the back doesn't come off, or leaves a stain/residue, expect something closer to 6.
  6. I think the outer cover looks 6ish. That looks like a pretty big chunk out of the inner cover, so maybe 3.5. The book comes out with the 6ish in the corner.
  7. 5.0/5.5. A detachment at a single staple by a single page will not lower the grade any further by CGC standards.
  8. 4.0/4.5. 4.0 for a less important issue, 4.5 with a key boost.
  9. With those deep wrinkles, I have a hard time seeing this over 4.0, even pressed
  10. If that's a stain on the back cover, then yes, 7.5/8.0 is going to be the ceiling. 7.5 likely. I've had this happen to me.
