  1. Nostalgic Investments’ Comic Art SPOTLIGHT MONDAYS! SPOTLIGHT MONDAYS! - On Monday we will spotlight a special piece of art for your collecting pleasure. Layton Iron Man Iron Man #137 Cover by Bob Layton It’s been many years since I was able to offer a Bob Layton Iron Man cover though I’ve been asked many times. This period of Layton covers are very sought after but not many have come onto the market. With the way the market has shot up in the last few months, I’m not sure if this is a good price or a great price. 2. Today, February 11th, is Nostalgic Investments’ Comic Art NEW ART FRIDAYS! Featured Artists: Bill Everett Adam Hughes Mike Mignola Featured Page: Master of Kung-Fu #89 Cover by Mike Zeck This is really one of the best Zeck covers that I’ve ever seen. Gene Day did an outstanding job on Zeck’s pencils. The layout on this cover reminds me of Wally Wood's EC sci-fi covers. Shang-Chi looks amazing having defeated Fu Manchu with the spaceship and outer space as a backdrop. NEW ART FRIDAYS! update this week includes art from Jack Kirby, Mike Zeck, Mike Mignola, Bill Everett, Adam Hughes, Don Heck, Gil Kane, Dillin, John Buscema, and Curt Swan! 3. Today, February 4th, is Nostalgic Investments’ Comic Art NEW ART FRIDAYS! Featured Artists: Jim Lee Sal Buscema Steve Ditko Featured Page: Action Comics #684 p5 (Doomsday Saga) by Jackson Guice I made a deal to trade for this page years ago and now I’m glad that I did. I’ve noticed anything associated with this story line goes for exceptional money. Of course that’s because in the last 30 years it’s the most significant storyline for Superman, and one of the most important for all of DC. When you combine Doomsday and the death of Superman that’s a powerful combination. You may be asking how did this car wind up in the sky? Well it was Doomsday hurling it there from the previous page. This page starts the sequence where the inevitable happens and Superman will face off against his most powerful and fearsome antagonist. NEW ART FRIDAYS! update this week includes art from Jackson Guice, Sal Buscema, Steve Ditko, Jim Lee, Kelley Jones, Ron Lim, Jack Kirby, Michael Dutkiewicz, Rich Buckler, and Kieron Dwyer! Action Comics #684 p5 (Doomsday Saga) by Jackson Guice Avengers #91 p26 by Sal Buscema Fantasy Illustrated #1 p17 (Large Art) by Steve Ditko Iron and the Maiden #4 Cover by Jim Lee Batman: Bloodstorm #1 p31 by Kelley Jones Silver Surfer #49 p22 by Ron Lim Journey Into Mystery #67 p6 (Signed)(Large Art) by Jack Kirby Catwoman Annual #3 p37 by Michael Dutkiewicz Saga of the Sub-Mariner #4 p6 by Rich Buckler Captain America #339 p8 (Signed) by Kieron Dwyer See all these New Art Fridays! pages at www.nostalgicinvestments.com/fridays and hundreds of comic art pages at www.nostalgicinvestments.com/comic-art Payment plans and trades are always available.

Thena, played by Angelina Jolie, is well represented in this page along with Kro who will be featured in the next Eternals movie. Please notice all the Kirby gadgets on the page. 7. Nostalgic Investments’ Comic Art SPOTLIGHT MONDAYS! SPOTLIGHT MONDAYS! - On Monday we will spotlight a special piece of art for your collecting pleasure. Dark Phoenix Saga Classic X-Men #38 Cover by Steve Lightle The Dark Phoenix Saga only ran for 9 issues so there are a very limited number of covers available, and not many feature Phoenix. This one has Mastermind seducing Phoenix as Cyclops burns with jealousy. This is an inexpensive way to own an X-men cover of this caliber. If this was from the run, the price would be exorbitant. 8. Today, December 3rd, is Nostalgic Investments’ Comic Art NEW ART FRIDAYS! Featured Artists: Jack Kirby Milo Manara Jim Starlin Featured Page: Thor #139 p8 by Jack Kirby This page really has a lot going on if you read it carefully. Ulik the Troll, and Thor’s main nemesis, is wielding both his Mallet and Mighty Mjolnir, which he captured from Thor in the last issue. Thor, of course, came back and reclaimed it in the last panel. Considering we just had a Thor splash sell for $100,000 this seems very reasonable. I’ve been seeing some Thor small sized pages sell for $15,000 to $20,000. NEW ART FRIDAYS! update this week includes art from Alan Davis, John Byrne, Carmine Infantino, Milo Manara, Jack Kirby, Jim Starlin, Andrew Wilman, Gil Kane, Don Newton, Ken Lashley, and Rich Buckler! Featured Artists: Jack Kirby Billy Graham Don Heck Featured Page: Dreadstar #17 Cover by Jim Starlin Good luck trying to find a Dreadstar cover drawn by Jim Starlin. For years now they weren’t available because they were sitting with collectors that love them too much to move them. If you’re lucky enough to find an interior page, those are selling for $1000 to $1500, so the price of this cover seems very appropriate. 19. Today, June 21st, is Nostalgic Investments Comic Art’s SPOTLIGHT MONDAYS! SPOTLIGHT MONDAYS! - Every Monday we will spotlight a special piece of art for your collecting pleasure. Ditko Magic Eerie Yearbook 1970 p30 Splash by Steve Ditko Wash pages are usually special in that they add depth and texture to an art page. Having it drawn by Ditko makes it more special. These splashes don’t come around often. If it was two years earlier and Spider-Man, this splash would be selling in the $250,000-$500,000 price range. So this page is clearly a great value. The equivalent Wrightson splash would be two to three times more for even more perspective. Featured Artists: Michael Golden Herb Trimpe Jim Aparo Featured Page: Fantastic Four #256 p7 (Large Art) by John Byrne These large art Byrne pages look so good in person. 22. Today, June 14th, is Nostalgic Investments Comic Art’s SPOTLIGHT MONDAYS! SPOTLIGHT MONDAYS! - Every Monday we will spotlight a special piece of art for your collecting pleasure. Gil Kane at his Best Marvel Team-Up #26 Cover Pencils: Gil Kane I’m sure I’ve said this before, but most collectors are big fans of Marvel covers that have more than one hero. Because of Chris Hemsworth, Thor has become one of the most popular heroes in the world. The cinematic and collecting world loves him. The Human Torch is just at the start of his worldwide popularity now that Marvel is about to launch the Fantastic Four movies in their next movie phase. Considering that Sal Buscema covers are now $50,000- $100,000, this Gil Kane action cover seems very reasonable.
