  1. RHG, next time you drop a big bomb like this, please give us advance notice so that we can run to a shelter and safely enjoy the view. You just blew me away... STEVE
  2. Copies of Fantastic 2 on ebay (ends tomorrow) and Heritage. Pretty scarce book. STEVE (Luvin' Larson)
  3. You know what they say about making an ASSumption.... The Cocomalt was a relist after I already had by placed an offer on it several months prior. Stew tried to advise me via email, but I missed the auction. I quickly contacted him, and to Stew's credit we completed the deal that had already been previously discussed. Them's the facts, so how 'bout giving me some love, Dr. Love...? STEVE (Luvin' Larson)
  4. Sweet copy SAC! Where did you get this one? I have a CGC 7.0. Mine too, though this book (1938) is fresh as a daisy and looks much better (has some cover wrinkles and some foxing, that's mainly it) than a 7.0. Just found it in Canada...68 years sitting in the original mailing wrapper. It's unread as the pages are still compressed together. Amazing. STEVE (Luvin' Larson)
  5. Sweeeeeet, Adam - all these later Planets are way cool. STEVE (Luvin' Larson)
  6. Great job, Ryan - that's what I call a Dynamic Duo! Mystery Men 1 is simply an amazing book (Blue Beetle, Green Mask, Rex Dexter, etc.). And Mystery Men 2 is one of the classic sci-fi covers, and just as good inside. STEVE (Luvin' Larson)
  7. 'Tis true...that Berk rascal is the source of most of my anguish (visit the greedy SOB thread, but only if you dare). STEVE (Luvin' Larson)
  8. <pssst...CentaurMan. Let's post our pedigree copies together over in the Greedy SOB thread and really drive RyanH nuts!!> STEVE (Luvin' Larson on this book)
  9. Lou Fine is divine, but this issue (Ramona P. cover?) holds my eye...some of these later Fox books are really starting to have a lot more appeal for me. STEVE (Luvin' Larson)
  10. Please tell me that this book is restored so that I can put my eyes back in their sockets. STEVE (Luvin Larson)
  11. CM, is that the copy that just sold on ebay? STEVE (Luvin' Larson)
  12. You're welcome pb66 - since the 1/2 is so hard to find, consider Amazing Adventure Funnies # 1 which reprints the story (along with a bunch of other terrific Centaur stories...I highly recommend the issue). STEVE (Luvin' Larson)
  13. Here's the opening splash from AMF 1/2 (Everett's first published story). STEVE (make mine Larson)
  14. Welcome to the club, Surfer - I predict it won't be your last. STEVE (make mine Larson)
  15. AMF 2/7 is a great book, though not a Gerber 8 in my opinion (I've seen quite a few). I have the "Danny Dupcak" copy of AMF 2/7. I'll spare everyone and not post a scan (oh, the horror...). STEVE (make mine Larson)
  16. KDF 23 - very tough book. I"ve gathered that you have some of the rarer Centaurs, PH (good eye). Here's the first Larson I ever purchased from Joe Tricarchi...and I've been in love ever since. It's KDF 2/10, Ben Thompson cover (Thompson is perhaps better known for his Kazar feature in Marvel Mystery, though I prefer his Masked Marvel work). STEVE (made mine Larson)
  17. Correct - none of my 1 thru 5 have been CGC'd, and I just bought the # 10 raw. But I have purchased two that have been slabbed...the 8.5 # 9 posted above, and this one below (my last Planet...so I need # 6 and # 8 to complete the group). CGC 9.0 (note: not reflected in the early census), off-white to white pages: STEVE (make mine Larson)
  18. Sure - I'm always glad to snatch a draw from the jaws of defeat! STEVE (make mine Larson)
  19. OK, adamstrange wins the "coolest Planet group photo ever" award... STEVE (make mine Larson)
  20. re: Planet 6-10 hunt....watch out, the kid's got some momentum! FYI, this was a CGC 8.5, off-white to white pages STEVE (make mine Larson)
  21. Yes, you have! (hey, it's a 'Tec 12 triple-header...Cool). STEVE (make mine Larson)
  22. My magic camera comes with the Ronco auto varnish shooting attachment. I do like their catchy slogan for it, "Just one click away to get a glossy image from our spray!". STEVE (make mine Larson)
