  1. Gee JB, those look vaguely familiar... STEVE (make mine Larson...please!)
  2. Nice books all - I hadn't really taken notice of the MM 51 before (very cool cover - congrats october). Not my first Timely but this mid-grade copy has bright colors and fresh pages that really appeal to me: STEVE (make mine Larson)
  3. You are a god... STEVE (make mine Larson)
  4. Thanks one and all for the kind comments - I enjoyed sharing the group scan with you. A lot of effort went into finding just the right copies. I'm now working on Planet 6-10. I picked up the following book the other day (and thanks to Stephen and Frank at Metropolis for the personalized communication and service): STEVE (make mine Larson)
  5. KDF is a GA title that I really enjoy, but it just doesn't seem to get that much respect. Amazing that you're so close to finishing the run CM - I used to have that dream. I've got a decent grouping of KDFs that I'll pull and scan for the board down the road - they're so cool (especially the 18, 20, and 22, which I now have Larsons on). STEVE (making mine Larson)
  6. Would that be the 'Wife left me, parents disowned me, kids won't acknowledge me, friends don't call anymore, and the dog ran away because I spend all my time and money on comics' thread? My goodness, I love this hobby. STEVE (making mine Larson)
  7. Did someone mention Planets? I just completed this small group...Planet 1 thru 5 in grade, unrestored, and all have off-white to white pages (3 and 5 are Larsons): STEVE (make mine Larson)
  8. October 1940 - last issue, and the Edgar Church/Mile High copy (and it doesn't disappoint) to boot (I'm still in awe...). STEVE making mine Larson)
  9. Yes, of course - I'll post in the "Confessions of a CGC crack addict" folder at the moment of truth. STEVE
  10. The Church KDF 20 - Now I'm the one who is envious (congrat's, I had no idea you had that book ). Yeah, I got it - if CentaurMan wants a bloodbath, he'll have to come over to my house. My sister weighs 350 lbs and he's going to have to go through HER to get to ME. Pedigree comics is mainly known as a SA dealer - kudos to Silver Surfer for the heads up. STEVE (making mine Larson)
  11. Oh man, if I didn't already have the Church copy I'd be ALL OVER that Larson A-Man 6. Don't tell RyanH, but THE classic Eye Sees cover (Keen Detective Funnies # 20) has already been sold - and it's the Larson copy. HEY! WHATTA LOOKING AT ME FOR!?! STEVE (making mine Larson)
  12. OK! OK! - I give! <cue cut scene of RyanH twisting my arm off-line> Ryan, this Bud's for you... STEVE (make mine Larson...oh, I already did!)
  13. This is a long shot, but does anyone know who has the Larson Daring Mystery 4 (sold through Heritage a few years ago, IIRC). STEVE (make mine Larson)
  14. Now THAT'S impressive - a true Batfan addict. All Blue labels, too (well done, sir). STEVE (make mine Larson)
  15. As Tommy Lee said to Pamela Anderson, "Nice rack". STEVE (make mine Larson)
  16. I think I'm gonna faint.. STEVE (make mine Larson)
  17. Geez Ryan, it's almost like you half expect me to post the Larson copy of Mystery Men #10!! Very nice book, Win... STEVE (make mine Larson)
  18. You've got a pair, Rick! (I especially like the colors on the Subbie16). STEVE (Make mine Larson)
  19. Not the best of the Arrow covers, but it is by Carl Burgos and this is a very HTF issue: STEVE Make mine Larson
  20. And in other news, coolj is making a big splash on the board tonight... STEVE Got Larson?
  21. Ditto...(something different to look forward to). STEVE Got Larson?
  22. Congrat's on both books, GE. adamstrange picked up a lovely copy of Fan4 in San Diego this year...perhaps he will grace us by posting a scan? Also, and it's not widely known, but Fantastic Comics 4 is the first appearance of Transparent Leg Man. STEVE Got Larson?
  23. Win, I just picked up a Feature 26 hoping there would be a "new fetaure coming next month!" Doll Man panel...but no such luck (still an interesting book on the inside, however). Feature 27 is very tough IMHO - I'd certainly be thrilled to have a copy as presentable as yours. STEVE Got Larson?
  24. Those Rangers and Fight books are superb! Congrat's on owning such lovely copies. I've always concentrated on Planet, Jumbo, and Jungle...perhaps it's time to look in a different direction. STEVE Got Larson?
