  1. this question is really baffling what part of being new to grading causes difficulty in determining that 1986 came after 1975 and is before present day?
  2. your best bet will be to keep an eye on CGC’s social media sites, they typically post pictures or videos of the signing … that will be your best way of knowing if a signing event has taken place
  3. there are 2 people asking questions in this thread the OP made no reference to there being a sig inside the book a follow up poster asked a question about a pic of the sig
  4. I'll just quote this post to save me from some typing however, I don't think Thor L&T will be good at all .... not a fan at all of Taika Waititi's forced humor and how they made Thor a bumbling fool
  5. yes, I've made that comment/joke in the past until someone sends a book to CGC and requests that and reports back we will never know
  6. unwitnessed signed books would get a CGC green label, COA or not if Gleason signs on the already signed cover at the Sig Series event it would get a yellow/green label ... the yellow representing the witnessed sig and the green representing the unwitnessed sig
  7. would have probably looked better on a Watchmen book
  8. JSC signing announced today looks like CGC trying to squeeze an extra $10 from us this time
  9. serious question, has CCS ever published pictures of their pressing facilities/operation? yes I know this post opens the door to a bunch of memes but thought I'd ask anyway
  10. first if you have something signed by Todd Macfarlane it isn't going to be worth much and would actually devalue the book now assuming you meant Todd McFarlane, I don't know of many that put a premium based on when a book was signed and CGC certainly doesn't care when the book was signed only if they witnessed the signing or not (or if an authorized facilitator of theirs did) ....if you sent your books to CGC they would not authenticate the signatures and you would not receive a yellow (signature series) label ... so I guess in some bizarre way this "devalues" your book there are other companies out there that may authenticate the signatures and slab the books for you with that notation
  11. I thought now would be a real good time to buy with inflation and gas prices how they are nope, instead of people liquidating everyone is jacking up their selling prices to watch their books sit I had a much easier time finding deals/bargains when the market was booming
  12. https://www.cgccomics.com/news/article/10271/member-credit-update/ price hike incoming? in all seriousness, unless I'm missing some small print, that is a solid move plus you get graders notes which I hear prominent members of the collecting community appreciate
  13. I’ve all but given up that CGC will be able to do something with Jazzy John still waiting for them to bring back Steranko at this point
  14. just look at the X-Men 1 label (and the white space) and you can see what is going to be cut off on the others
  15. looks like they moved ole Ben over on the FF label so he wouldn't be covered by the hologram and also planned accordingly for the other new images
  16. https://www.cgccomics.com/news/article/7873/ CGC is excited to announce 10 new labels to kick-off 2022! We have introduced new Fantastic Four, Ghost Rider, Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan), Moon Knight, Secret Wars, Spider-Gwen, Venom: Lethal Protector, X-Men, Daredevil and Doctor Doom labels.
  17. honestly I have no idea why the OP indicated this was a hypothetical only to admit it was not it’s fine until you bring other named parties (joeypost) into this
  18. of course not, the seller could have come into the book via an inheritance or such funny how whenever someone comes here to this forum to mention they have come into some books that they have no interest in keeping I never hear first mention of people here to make sure you get right on counting all the pages of all the books
  19. a true Legend in the hobby and one of my earliest gateway’s into it
