  1. my MTIO signed by Starlin one thing that bothers me though is while this graded a 9.0 (CCS pressed) the grader notes only indicate a single flaw (one of which I cannot even see on the book) Grader Notes:slice in top staple area back cover additional pics of back, after and before slabbing
  2. how can you say that, there is no indication they did not reholder the book and all indication that they in all likelihood did the issue is their QC department should not allow a book to go back out again with excessive newton rings when they are reslabbing for that very issue .... bad enough they didn't stop it the first time I'm with Capra on his response
  3. all good, if you didn't get a press (like you said above) it would go right to SFG status upon receipt until signed when it will go into GEI (grading, encapsulation, imaging) status
  4. the deadline to get the book to CGC was on Friday 8/12 .... today is 8/17 I can say with 100% certainty, the signing has not occurred yet
  5. this but if the OP is happy it doesn’t matter what we think
  6. don’t expect FedEx to do anything you want/need them to do as I understand, CGC shipments back to you are supposed to require a signature upon delivery I am out of town and knew a book was expected to me and assumed they would make other attempts to deliver if I wasn’t home …. nope, driver took the liberty of signing for the book and left it outside my door for anyone who wants to take while I was away
  7. if you are referring to a book you sent in for the latest Jim Lee signing in which the books had a 7/24/22 deadline to CGC .... the fact that your submission status says "received at CCS" does not mean the book is currently being pressed .... that is the first status given to any book when first received by CGC with CCS services on the order the latest Jim Lee signing defiantly has not happened yet
  8. the book would not go into GEI status if it hadn't been signed
  9. C2E2’s new tagline See 2 (staples) Extra 2 (staples)
  10. Starlin signing 6/29 SFG 7/27 GEI 7/29 G/QC 8/8 Shipped 8/9 ** timeline was with CCS press
  11. pretty sure CGC doesn't have any competition (for good reason) when it comes to this problem
  12. next, they label it a double cover and give 10's to both covers
  13. why are married covers green label? same artist does it have to be acetate?
  14. CGC's response is unacceptable maybe the community needs to bring this to the attention of mainstream journalists to get the word out there and hold CGC accountable for their response I know the audiophile community has a current integrity issue with Mobile Fidelity misrepresenting their brand (caught admitting to using digital sources in their production chain for recordings the represented as coming from all analog sources) that is making waves in the media maybe someone needs to reach out to someone like a Geoff Edgers at WAPO and have him bring this to a wider audience and see if CGC/Blackstone continues to stand by their statement
  15. no, we don’t know keep an eye out on CGC’s social media sites as they typically post pics/videos around the time of the signings
  16. CGC has an in-house pressing division, CCS if you want them to press your book(s) you would opt for the service when filling out the CGC submission form the book(s) ship to CGC, CCS presses the book(s), moves to CGC for grading, and they are sent back to you pressed and encapsulated if you opt to use a different presser, check with them to find out if they will submit to CGC for you for grading ... many pressers have the ability to do so
  17. of course they are going to be transparent .... just like the acetate
  18. I'm sure they are just biding their time waiting for ebay to buy them out
  19. what are you babbling on about? I don't even know where that quote is from or what it is specific reference to .... don't bother answering ... you seem like someone better suited for the ignore list
  20. if your point was to validate that burying the info in a post in the Ask CGC sub-forum of their message board that I would venture to state a very small percentage of their customers use is "not so publicly stated" than thanks
  21. it very well could be ... didn't notice the OP said the book was received a few weeks ago I would still start with customer "service" .... not all policies are written in stone (especially a policy that isn't so publicly stated) and if they deny it well then I guess the OP will have to reconsider if it is worth doing business with this company or not
