  1. and you shouldn’t be, so frustrating looks like the scan they captured for that cert is the book they sent you, at least the back was already white best you can do now is send it back in under the ME process (with detailed notes about both the label issue and white substance issue), hope it gets there and back safely and that whoever oversaw your book had a bad case of dandruff or just finished eating a powdered doughnut and it can be harmlessly wiped away and they correct the label and send it back without new issues I don’t know how you can be convinced it isn’t the same book you sent … CGC QC (or lack thereof) is such a sad state of affairs these days good on you to have taken or kept “before” pictures
  2. let’s start with this, are you saying the last 2 images represent a universal blue label Detective Comics 1000 graded 9.8 book you sent in to be cracked, signed, and reslabbed by CGC? I assume you didn’t crack it out before hand The first glaring issue aside from the white spots you should be asking is why the signed book came back in a blue universal slab and not a yellow signature series one!?
  3. he is not currently working, he is on strike but your point of patience is valid for those who submitted
  4. according to this post an admin said they hope to have the books signed this month, not that it means anything
  5. given actors are currently on strike this would be an opportune time for them to complete these obligations since this doesn’t appear to be on their not allowed to do list assuming these signings would be private and not public
  6. yes, didn’t mean to be overdramatic … I’m well aware I can hook up an external drive
  7. so you need to send it back again because they didn’t label it a 10?
  8. indeed, I have a 40 Years of ASM 11 cd-rom collection with over 500 issues from 1963 -2023 that had a $39.99 price tag on the box … granted I have to find a pc with an optical drive to view these (not so easy in today’s digital age) but there are ways for people to discover these stories/art on the cheap … being a “collector” is a whole different animal and you should not equate the two which is something I think the OP is doing
  9. so they can use Marvel’s digital platform for free for 7 days or $9.99 per month determine what they enjoy and then buy any number of trades/collections I doubt many casual “innocent” potential fans are looking to ebay to put together runs of floppies
  10. I typically don’t respond (especially with any negative connotations) but of course it isn’t easy to find, who the hell is slabbing a FF 214?! ps. aren’t 24% of the 71 universal blue on the census 9.8 glwts
  11. pretty sure you would lose the Stan custom label so for that reason alone, no
  12. correct, acetate cover with sig on the acetate
  13. don’t be so hasty what is with the off centered grade on the label and why does the typeset of the creators info spill over onto that grade
  14. this should be asked in the Ask CGC sub-forum the following should give you some insight
  15. you should likely be fine, but word to the wise ...... always take pictures of what you are sending in
  16. yeah, that's messed up then .... hey at least you kept the same grade, small victories with CGC do you have the original cert # for reference if needed
  17. what was the grade on the book when you sent it in? also assume it was already in a yellow SS slab with the Lee sig
  18. if you are asking if CGC will give it a yellow verified signature series label, the answer is no there are other companies that will if you are so interested
