  1. if you scroll down on the main forum page there is a trading card sub-forum you may get better traction there than in the comics sub-forum
  2. who wants to make a video telling CGC what not to do to our books
  3. biggest revelation for me in seeing the McFarlane video posts is the amount of people that use CGC’s window bags
  4. No, nobody here is going to know, other than it will be some time after Feb 17 … CGC likely doesn’t even know based on the news release it was originally “scheduled” for late Jan or Feb given any kind of submission deadline extension it looks to likely be later now also this appears not to be an in house signing but like most “celeb” signings also has a 3rd party involved (Celebrity Authentics in this case) best to sit back, relax, and check social media posts for any updates
  5. that is the first status you will see on a submission when received by CGC … ex.there is no scheduled for signing status if you had CCS pressing on the order your initial status would read “received at CCS” and CCS does not press until post signing hope that clarifies things
  6. @ $120 per item (yes I know he only sees a portion of that revenue), it can’t suck too bad
  7. per their social media post today …. 2023 is off to an awesome start and we had 4 incredible creators in this week for their CGC In-House Private Signings. Clayton Crain knocked out some of his amazing signatures and Remarques over the past two days. Check out the video for some of the highlights from his signing, and stay tuned for more photos and videos from this week’s signings coming soon! #ClaytonCrain #Venom #SpiderMan #Carnage #CGC #Comics #Signing #Crainbow
  8. Dry cleaning a comic to remove soiling and any unwanted substance is also considered a non-restorative process, and is included in the CCS pressing service when necessary.
  9. and did you answer, no ____ Sherlock? go to the CCS homepage and look under the "What CCS Can Do" area (bends, corner crunch, dirt, finger bends, non-color-breaking spine stress, ripples, spine roll, stacking bends, writing) https://www.cgccomics.com/ccs-pressing/ ask yourself how many times have you ever seen a before and after picture on these boards that show that kind of attention and care done to a book submitted to CCS ..... I'd love to see examples because other than the ones they have posted I've never seen it and have seen more examples of people questioning if they even touched their book CCS (at least at current day) is the McDonalds of comic book pressing .... no offense to McDonalds
  10. Of course it was pressed using their trade secret multi-step process that has been modified and honed through thousands of hours of research and development
  11. thanks but I’m not looking for a facilitator I’m wanting an in house SS event
  12. ^ from my start of 2022 post another year and my top 3 wants remain the same despite little to no hope shocked there was no Steranko SS event in 2022 … long overdue was able to cross off Starlin, JRJR, and JSC from above in 2022, my McFarlane sub will be in the next batch of signings Art Adams and Hughes are still lower level wants for consideration
  13. let alone someone with a process so good it's a trade secret from CCS FAQs "our process is a trade secret. It’s a process we have spent thousands of hours developing through research, testing, and pressing hundreds of thousands of comics."https://www.cgccomics.com/ccs-pressing/
  14. I know the signing was in early Oct .... my book is dated signed 10/11/22 I would assume the sketches were not done on site and would take some time to get back, even longer if inked didn't appear to be a limited to x number either have you reached out to privatesignings@cgccomics.com to inquire?
  15. sound advice, especially if you want to pinpoint where you’d like the sig to be placed
  16. no, you do not have to use CGC’s pre-made yellow window bags but according to all sig series announcements, you do need to window bag all ungraded books or they will not be accepted if you are not familiar with how to do so you can search and there are even tutorials provided on this forum good luck with your submission
  17. that is because you didn’t submit with CCS pressing
  18. most of the submissions are going to be for people that want to keep the books in their collections there are probably more signed McFarlane books out there unsigned
  19. "Received at CCS" does not mean the books have been signed that is the initial status for books that have pressing services with CCS when first received by CGC when the book is actually signed and pressed it will move to "Scheduled for Grading" status hope that helps
  20. they are charging $120 per sig he and they are being well taken care of
