I was attracted by the books. I mean.. who wouldn’t want to own some of those sexy mega keys. I would love to own a TEC #27, All-American Comics #16, or a Marvel Comics #1 as they’re all a piece of comic book history!

All these books are great! Hoping to eventually own All Star Comics #3 and #8. Especially All-American Comics #61 as that book is not easy to come by.

Don’t even get me started on BA books. The prices for some of the keys are insane, which is why I typically buy books in person nowadays since I’m able to get a good deal on them. I’m most definitely on top of things. The hobby is growing and the market is constantly changing. Gotta keep up with the supply and demand of certain books. Don’t worry, I hope to start making connections with people at Heritage as I have to make a name for myself somehow. Gotta let people know I’m a serious collector.

That would be this Detective Comics #168. 18-year-old me seeing this on eBay and snatching it up since it was within my price range and was undoubtedly my biggest purchase at the time of $4200. I knew I was deep into collecting from that point on, but I’ve since sold this 1.0 copy to a fellow boardie and upgraded to a 3.0 copy that I don’t plan on parting with anytime soon.

Thanks! I’m happy with where my collection is at since I’m always wheeling and dealing to make it better than what it already is. I’m always jumping on opportunities when they present themselves now that I have the funds to buy the books I want, and that I’m always networking with dealers or building relationships with local shops as I go on so it only increases those opportunities for the books I want to come my way. In today’s market, you gotta be ready to pull the trigger if you can or you’ll miss out.

I liked the film, better than the first for sure. The post-credits scene was pretty cool, definitely looking forward to seeing what they’re setting up in the future.

Pfft I doubt I’d ever own a TEC #27. Would be amazing to have one but one can dream. Although, if you want to just slide it my way for free, that’s always an option of course.

I remember seeing these in a Pawn Shop back in April of 2018. I was 16 at the time and I was relatively new to collecting comics. I thought they were cool and wanted them but I couldn’t afford such books. The manager said he’d let them all go for $300, so the next time I went back they had already sold.
