  1. YAY! I won this book.. but now I'm broke. RIP Bank Account.
  2. I’m surprised I even had enough money for all of that.
  3. I was thinking that as well, it can’t be a “record breaking sale” with no mention of a final sale price being publicized.
  4. It sold but they don’t mention the price since the buyer wants to remain anonymous.
  5. The only Golden Age books I currently own.
  6. But if I do that, then I’ll be missing Flash #86.
  7. I’m missing Flash Comics #92 but this will do.
  8. I wasn’t upset about it as it was a great experience for me since I got to meet one of my favorite comic book artists. Personally I don’t mind paying for a signature but that’s just me, everyone has different thoughts on it since most collectors grew up during a time where you could walk up to a creator and have them sign a book for free. Clayton Crain was a cool person to meet. The amount of people who showed up for his signing was crazy. I didn’t think the shop owner and staff anticipated that would happen, so it was a train wreck at the beginning, but got better as time went on. What I like about his signature is that he offers lots of variation to it. I could’ve went with a normal black signature but I chose the “infinity Signature” instead. Funny enough, I bought that Ultimate Fallout #4 exactly 2 days before the signing for $125. I think it was after they announced the new Spider-Man: Miles Morales game as well, but anyways that book made huge gains within the last year.
  9. You send them pictures of your books and a selling price. They get it sold. You get paid PayPal Friends and Family (no fee payment) or, if you prefer, Goods and Services, and you ship the book fully insured to buyer. You send them 5.5% of the sale price ($20 minimum.) They make it pretty easy. As a consigner they’ll need your name, address, PayPal address, and phone number. In order to get started selling with them, they would need a few references who can vouch for you, maybe mutual followers, big comic dealers you’ve done business with, CGC boardies, long standing eBay account, etc.
  10. I highly recommend Elite_Comics11 for consigning items. They have 20k+ followers.
  11. You can find the story regarding Neal Adams here. Regarding the Clayton Crain signature, he was doing his comic shop road tour with Black Flag Comics and he just so happened to be coming to one my local shops, so I decided to get my Ultimate Fallout #4 signed by him.
  12. It would be cool to own these but my pockets aren’t deep enough for that.
