  1. The good ol’ scumbags of eBay. Pushing a facsimile as the real thing all while disclosing it’s not the actual thing in the description no one ever reads.
  2. It just broke the record for the most valuable comic ever to be sold. It’s only a matter of time before Action #1 takes that record back.
  3. It’s at $2.8M but I wouldn’t be surprised if it passes Action #1 in the live auction.
  4. Here are the rules 1) I will consider offers but first trumps all. 2) I accept payment via PayPal. 3) Shipping is $15 within the U.S territories only and $20 to Canada. International buyers, please inquire about shipping. 4) No probation or HOS boardies allowed. No returns on CGC graded books. Thread is now closed.
  5. It ended up selling for $90,500 on Comic Connect. Congrats to whoever the winner is.
  6. I went from being a kid to a baby. I have a huge love and appreciation for the hobby since it’s something I enjoy doing. Ranging from going to conventions/shows or just interacting with people from the community. It’s an awesome thing to be apart of!
  7. Haha yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was an ASM #1 + Cash trade. Suspense #3 does come with a hefty price tag after all.
  8. Now this is a trade I’ll do any day of the week! An ASM #1 for a Suspense Comics #3? Oh yeah, for sure!
  9. This was me when I attended my first local comic show back when I was 15. I didn’t think I would be able to see those type of books in person, let alone see people actually buy them in front of me. I remember seeing an ASM #129 ($500 for a raw copy back in 2018) I wanted and asked my dad if he could buy it for me, but he said no.
  10. I’m aware that I’m still considered a “kid” to most adults. MAD #1 is a nice book to get at 12-years-old (for $50) considering what the prices are for that book now. It must’ve also been nice being able to buy Green Lantern #76 off the stands as well. I forgot to mention, I did own Green Lantern #76-89 at one point but ended up selling all of it (except for #76, #85, #86, and #87 of course) in order to fund other books I wanted.
  11. I liked this story considering I am “that kid” since I’m currently 19-years-old. I remember when I first got into the hobby back in late 2017 when I was just 15. I got interested in the collecting side of things and discovered Green Lantern #76 and I really wanted it due to its significance on comics at that time. I was able to eventually buy one after getting my first job and when I got my first paycheck. I went to my LCS, asked if they had a Green Lantern #76 and sure enough they did! It was priced at $250 but I was able to get it down to $175 even. Huge shoutout to Shelton at Heroes Aren’t Hard to Find for helping me acquire my first ever grail! Overall it’s nice hearing stories people about being able to get their grails, congrats to that guy on getting an ASM #1!
