  1. Nice books! Curious to see what other pictures you post.
  2. Wertham flipped the -script on everything when he published SOTI. Claimed to have spent 7 years on a detailed study of comics but mainly gives incomplete information. All he had to say was he disliked comic books.
  3. Fair point, he did come up with the initial idea and capitalized on it with the help of Bill Finger. Can’t blame him after all. (Regardless, his history with Batman is still shady.)
  4. It’s cool to know there’s more to it but I haven’t read anything from Infinite Frontier so I wouldn’t have known that. My overall point is since Robin (Tim Drake) is now bisexual, I just hope it’s done in a way where it appeals to those apart of the LGBTQ community and they have something that’s relatable and well written, all while being a good read for those who enjoy comic books.
  5. No.. but overall what I’m trying to say is why make a character a certain way and do little to nothing with the character development.
  6. Alan Scott (Green Lantern) being gay really isn’t a surprise since his Earth-2 counterpart was during the New 52. They recently made him gay in DC canon and only explored his love life in a one-off story. Other than that, nothing else happened as far as I know.
  7. There was a story about him DC Pride #1 and that was about it.
  8. Alan Scott canonically came out as gay back in March of 2021 when Infinite Frontier #0 released and that has gone no where as of yet.
  9. There’s already a thread for this.
  10. I like the cover to TEC #31, I favor that one over TEC #27.
  11. When it comes to Bob Kane, it’s one of those hit or miss situations. His work as an artist is hard to judge due to his extensive use of ghost artists over the years. There’s hundreds of stories that are credited under his name but bear no relation to the person that gave us fantastic art in the earlier issues of Detective Comics.
  12. My problem (don't get me wrong--I'm happy for people who are happy), is that it feels like pandering. Intstead of doing something cool and different, DC just makes an existing character queer in some way and move on.
  13. The only death that I can think of that actually mattered was when it dealt with Superman. The Death of Superman garnered a lot of media attention and the comic did end up selling over 6 million copies.
  14. I’m looking forward to S3 of Doom Patrol as I really enjoyed the first two seasons of the show. Unfortunately S2 was cut short due to COVID and we were stuck on a cliffhanger, but I’m glad to see that’s finally resolved.
