  1. I sent books for Mr. Dan Jurgens, Mr. Howard Porter and Mr. Peter David.....I would have loved to get some signatures from Mrs. Louise Simonson, Mr. Keith Griffen, Mr. J.M. DeMatteis as well as Mr. Chuck Dixon and Mr. Rags Morales but the Canadian Dollar Exchange rate told me "NO! YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED!"..... depending how much is in my wallet in the New Year, I may send in some books for Mr. Joe Rubinstein to sign.....
  2. This is the first year of not only getting my old comics slabbed but also doing these signature signing things. Initially I was making my own window bags but I found that I was handling my comics more than I wanted when making the desired window bags. I then discovered those premade blue window bags, which was definitely a stepup but I found that you still have to be pretty careful when slipping both the board and the comic through the side of the bag. Now seeing that you can have a premade window bag with putting board and comings from the top again peaks my interest..... but it will be awhile before I send any more comics down for signatures.
  3. I've tapped out....I can't send no more comics for the end of this year and beginning of next year.... ;( Maybe if the Canadian dollar exchange rate jumped up by 20 cents....but right now it sucks.
  4. After looking at the state of the Canadian dollar exchange rate at the time of prepping for signatures, I had to take Mrs. Louise Simonson off my wish list. Getting her signature on the first 3 issues of Superman: Man of Steel would have been awesome. Not long after sending the package of books, I find out now that Mr. Chuck Dixon, who I enjoyed his Bird of Prey run and Mr. Rags Morales, who I enjoyed his art during his run on Hourman will be signing sometime in December.......I've mapped out 3 books for each of them but if I send another box down there....then there will be less books for Johns/Fabok/Finch/Anderson to sign when they come around late december/early January I blame all these Shenanigans on the Pandemic!!!!!!! Long wait begins now!!!!!!....
  5. Actually I have recently seen some CGC unboxing of Skottie Young remarks on Youtube... you can check there. I don't have any comics related to his art.
  6. Rags Morales now?!?!?!? argh I guess no Christmas presents for my nephews this year...... guess they can watch me do some unboxing of some slabs at the end of this year but that's pretty much it Another sad thing is for every new signature announcement, there are less books I'm sending for that Johns/fabok/finch/Anderson in the end of December/early January...
  7. AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH why CGC why?!?!?!!?!?!?!? does it look like Money grows on trees?!!? er sure money is made outta trees but I can not make enough money to get the signature slabs I want to get done....:(
  8. David Finch is added now?!?!?!? too bad there wasn't a option say finch/anderson that way I get johns/fabok to sigh books and get finch/anderson to sign some wonderwoman books together...... I've sent some books already for the book signing in late October/early November signings but sending books for that early January signings looks to be less books but more signatures on shorter stack of books
  9. I actually wanted Johns to sign some older books outside of this Three Joker storyline and then get Fabok to sign some Justice league books that were actually a prelude to the Three Joker storyline, some of those covers of Justice League he did are pretty dam cool.
  10. You know, .Mr. Sillyonly25cents, just blame this kinda of thing on the Pandemic or chalk it up to the Pandemic. When they announced the signings of Johns, Fabok and Anderson for the new year or so, I thought sweet I can save up money and send some old variety of books for the three of them to sign, then about 3 weeks after that announcement came that bigger one for the end of October......ARRRRRRGGGGGHHHH, for me personally I'm capping at 4 people that I would like to get signatures. i would want more artists signatures at that signing but now I realized I will have to cut back on books that I wanted Johns and Fabok to sign in January. Just wish they kinda of space out these signature signings further apart you know... You are right though $120 bucks?!?!?!?!? Another reason I don't read marvel comic books period.
  11. It was quite the learning experience this year when I decided to start slabbing some of my older books and then taking a stab a prepping comic books for signings. As of now, I have about 26 books slabbed and that was all I was gonna do this year. Then came that big signing thing sometime in October/November as well as that Geoff John's and company signing in January. The end result, my budget on slabbing is gonna be hitting the ceiling. It's time like this where it would be awesome to win lottery, that way I would get Mr. Dan Jurgens, Peter David, Howard Porter, Mrs. Louise Simonson, Keith Griffen, J.M DeMatteis to sign "EVERY SINGLE ISSUE" of their work that I have in my collection....sigh....only a dream. Frustrating part is sending enough to make up for shipping costs coming back...Sigh

    Prepping books for signatures.

I was really hoping that any new signature signings would be done after Geoff Johns and not before.... this really frustrates me cause I wouldn't mine getting some old comics signed by some of the people below me. It comes down to how much money I should be put into shipping. Arggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh .... Deadline for CGC to accept shipment is Oct. 26, 2020....... Dan Jurgens $75 Peter David Signature fee: $75 Howard Porter Signature fee: $75 J.M. DeMatteis $75 Keith Giffen Signature fee: $75 or J.M. DeMatteis & Keith Giffen Duo Signing fee: $100 Louise Simonson Signature fee: $75 Walt Simonson Signature fee: $75 or Walt & Louise Simonson Duo Signature fee: $100
  13. Oh boy, that's a great list of people there. I already set aside a budget for Signature Signings of Geoff Johns, Fabok and Anderson in January but this new signature group for October? I want to cry for joy but the tears you will be see will contain the comics that I can't afford to send.
  14. Well, the first part is pretty much done, it's just question what the currency is like near the middle of November when I do send my books down to Florida. I wonder how much the currency would change between November and January/February.
  15. Exactly. Which is why the more I think about it, I'll just stick with one signature per book. When I sent in comics to get Amanda Conner and Jim Palmotti signed I did have 2 separate letter boxes but to get 3 signatures? I think I would have had to make one big letter box covering almost the entire book and let the writer's and artist/inker decide where they want to sign but.the cost to get them signed is high for one itty bitty book.
  16. This past weekend I was going through my collection to decide what books I would want to get signed by either Geoff Johns or Jason Fabok, I guess they must have updated the news memo cause now I see that Mr. Brad Anderson is in on the mix too now. $120 bucks American for 3 signatures...how the hell can you fit 3 signatures on a comic when there's alot of art going on!!!!!!!!!!!! My initial plan was actually to get Mr. Geoff Johns to sign some older books that he has done like the Justice Society of America aka Stargirl as well as Cyclone cause apparently that character will be in the Black Adam movie which is freakin nuts, cause I would have never thought that a character like would be in a movie. Then I would have Mr. Jason Fabok sign off some beautiful covers from the Justice League Darkseid war which eventually gave hints to today's series "The Three Jokers"..... I have already worked to get 2 signatures on one comic...but 3 signatures that's hard work!!!! Since the deadline for CGC to accept comics to be signed is on Dec.15, 2020 I guess I can hum and haw on whether I can really fit 3 on one comic......at the moment $120 American dollars = $157.01 Canadian..... OY or maybe instead of having all 5 books of justice league signed with Fabok, get Anderson to sign 2?... so many choices...
  17. To try to make 3 separate letter boxes for Geoff Johns, Jason Fabok and Brad Anderson on one comic book? hahahahaha someone would have to pay me to do that, I had trouble as is just to put two letter boxes on a comic without disturbing the flow of the art on the cover.
  18. Although Mr. Geoff Johns has done alot of books, I took it down to about 6 books , one of them I'm sending involves Cyclone, which I hear will be staring in that Black Adam movie.... I would have never have thought that character would be in a movie. It will be interesting to see how that character will be played in that movie. As for stars and stripes, I picked up #0, but nothing after that, I think it came down budget wise back then...how many titles was I reading = cost. Oh well. Sad thing is it's 2020, and my pull list is very very short.
  19. As I am deciding what books to send to get signed, by Jason Fabok. The Darkseid War was great read, Awesome Art and a wonderful storyline. I'll probably wait till the end of November before sending them off cause maybe the the exchange rate will be better. Afterall at this very moment $80 dollars American is equal to $104.75 Canadian.... ouch oh boy. Anyhow with the issues I chose, it would be nice to hang them in their CGC case on my wall. Admiring these covers, because there is alot to inspect on these covers.
  20. OY, just when I think I'm out they pull me back in.... but $80 bucks?!?!?!? and that's not including the pressing... or $110 bucks for the two of them? OY Of course with amount of other books that those 2 did. no one is just gonna send just one. Hell I live in Edmonton Alberta, if I "were to send books down" it would be at least 10 just so the cost of shipping would be spread over more books.... $550(duel sigining) + $400(single signings) + ($200 pressing) $1150 canadian dollars = what to American dollars? OY I really don't want to know...cause it's gonna hurt
  21. Sooooo as I wait for last 5 modern comic books to be press and graded for this year, I made a video of my census info related to my colllection of Graded Powergirl comics and other titles she has been in so far.
  22. Whew, that was a cool experience. When I started back in January with sending my comicbooks down to Florida to get them graded, the idea of getting any them signed wasn't in my tunnel vision. With the pandemic hitting, things changed. Including 5 books that will be normally graded/slabbed, I have a total of 26 books that will be preserved a tad longer than just being bagged/boarded. In fact, I can hang some of them on my barren walls. If there are no signature distractions next year, I hope to get more of my older comic books to get graded.
