  1. To the note about the record Hulk #1 4.0 sale - there was also an attractive FF #1 5.5 that went for an equally attractive $42k. Thought I would take a look at Fantastic Four #1 sales in 2.5 to 5.5 for 2022-to-date. I know there is/was a lot of variation in quality and appearance (I think that $57k 5.0 sale was the Truckee Meadows WP copy on Heritage) - I was surprised how much variation there has been in price.
  2. Edited the Suspense in the summary list - thanks for the catch. As for the 2017 sales, etc - I had limited this list to 2019/2020 forward. Basically a recap of what has happened during this most recent boom. And I am sure there are some missing from even just this two year period
  3. Here are the Session 3 Comiclink results - though a bit less exhaustive than I have done in the past.
  4. Feeling the same about the books I have been bidding on - though I actually just went to Ebay and plucked a book on offer for about 20% less than I got beaten at on a Heritage auction. Actually seeing more rational pricing on some Ebay listings these days . The last few days of the Clink auction Session 3 have been very unkind on some Copper books I am selling. Where I was feeling like I was pretty close to GPA in aggregate on the first dozen or so books - these last dozen have been very bad. In aggregate they closed around 40% below GPA.
  5. $102k sale in June for Tales of Suspense #57 in 9.8 - Curator Collection Pedigree.
  6. Not a lot of copies sold - but 9.8s of #1 having been pulling in a couple of hundred for the past few years. I recall the mania of independent books coming off TMNT - I have several long-boxes filled with first issues of absolute drek from that era.
  7. I am going to do a much slimmer recap of Session 3 when it closes next week. When I get the numbers in the spreadsheet they may tell a different story - but it doesn't "feel" all that terrible for some of the books I have been looking at. I have about a dozen books for sale in this Auction and the results, while mixed from book to book, have not been that far off of GPA in aggregate. And then there are just some books where prices just keep hanging on without a clear driver. One example is Amazing Spider-Man #201. Nice cover but not really a significant book - something like the 12th appearance of Punisher by this point. A 9.8 just sold in this auction for 14% more than prior and 17% more than 90 Days (yes - the newsstand aspect may have driven some of this). It is now hitting its 2021 peak numbers again and trading at +170% vs its 2020 average. So issue #194 in 9.8 continues to decline (12 mos = $4704; 90 day = $4444; Last = $4001; and $3800 in this Clink auction) but #201 is hanging on (12 mos = $447; ; 90 day = $527; Last = $540 and $615 in this Clink auction)
  8. Updated the recap to include the TOS and Detective results above. Thanks for the assist!
  9. I was thinking the prior weekend on Heritage (6/19-6/20) was going to be soft given how low the bids were going into Saturday. But most of the Silver Marvel I was tracking ended up pretty close to the Current/90 day pricing zone. There were a few books on this Clink Session 1 that were meaningful books that were way, way low in the waning hours. In the final minutes, I started to throw bids at things that I wasn't really in the market for because they were so below current values. As I recall - the weekends right after the last big Heritage Platinum session (and the big Promise Collection sale) were a bit slow/soft. Almost like a bit of a breather for both Heritage and the buyers.
  10. Someone can correct me if I am wrong - but I believe GPA includes buyer premiums for any sales platforms they track. I know they include them for Heritage sales. So comiclink results should be pretty apples to apples
  11. I started this thread about a little while ago tracking six-figure sales. Been a very busy couple of months for big books
  12. I imagine the Copper Modern sales in the later sessions will be even worse. And I say that as someone with some books for sale in those auctions
  13. Here are the Session 1 results. Highly unlikely I am going to recap the later sessions this time....but we will see. And you are getting a lot of red. You can also just see the lower values between last and 90 Day on the GPA data.
