  1. Not sure about that but I certainly would like Bat 1 more if it had this cover.
  2. Yep but probably closer than ever today. Lots of things going for both books.
  3. Sure, Goodman was the little guy in the field and was always trying to measure up sales with DC and Fawcett, but since Cap was a patriotic war superhero, that made Bucky a little extra special (so hoped Goodman) than Robin.
  4. I've never preferred Bucky on the cover as it is, but I feel Goodman signed off on Bucky in a good effort to rally support (hence, Sentinels of Liberty Club) amongst the kid's/teens at that time for the war...
  5. a nice looking 2.0 blue sold earlier this year for $75k, and it was flipped for more after that. $40K/point is reasonable. So, I imagine a nice, complete, non brittle coverless could go $20k...otherwise a ratty, brittle, but complete coverless could be in the $15k - $17k range...
  6. in that case, I will bring all my gold but we will have to use the 2007 OSPG at minimum. Bitteroldman will be my negotiator.
  7. I've known and dealt with Sir Isaac Flores for seven years now. He's a dear friend, good dude, fair, and knows and loves the comic hobby. You won't have nothing but smooth deals and pleasant conversations with him
  8. Bunky bought that copy off eBay several years back from Gary Dolgoff who found the action 13 and a marvel 1 with no BC from an old lady in Tennessee. Bunky sold the action to a local guy last year and I believe he still has it. So the eBay listing looks like a scam.
  9. dark green boxes are tougher to find on X-Men 1s. Perhaps that color ran low on the press faster at that time, because the green monster on FF1 is another tough to find in dark green...
  10. good luck with the journey. But since we are in the gold forum, most here will agree that 181s (although clearly the higher demand book and the better book to park your $) are dime a dozen. The more difficult gold (high grade or not) is much more desirable.
  11. Ok, well high grade or runs is not me, so I have a different slant. To me, once you own a copy, it doesn't matter to me if it's a nice 3.0 or a nicer 6.5 - i'd rather have the 3.0 and use the extra money for another book....
  12. Wolverine is now a top tier character in today's age (Supe, Bat, Spidey, Wolvie, Iron Man, etc). I don't think those iconic character's or their first appearances can tank with any future bad movies. Hugh Jackman has helped to cement Wolverine's pop cultural status..
  13. Water with lemon or green tea my friend. I only have soda with pizza or a burger which is not often But when I do drink soda, I prefer regular coke with lemon
  14. Do you have to have high grade with either book? If not, I’d sell the supe and down grade it to midgrade, and buy a nice 7.0-8.0 hulk 181 that presents nice with no miswrap. You will save some money. Get white pages on a 181 as well. Then you can have both books. Neither are too hard to find.
  15. That may have been the best method used that I’ve seen.
