TMNT #1 2nd print that is not a second print, he thinks...
And it has sold...
And he's already relisted it. I especially like the line in description about charging a 10% restocking fee.

Relisted it for $1,000 buy it now. The seller is officially a scumbag in my opinion now.

This is the $50 visual book the $2k book comes bundled with!
I absolutely love that book. I was able to get mine signed by Eastman at a convention. All the inserts and attachments are such a cool bonus.
If I was the seller of that $2k auction I don't think I'd go through with the sale. Assuming it wasn't troll bids, that thing is gonna get returned.

Looks like the seller added an update at least:
On Jun-30-21 at 21:47:20 PDT, seller added the following information:
To let everyone know that this comic is a reprint. Not an original 2nd print.
Just goes to show how many knuckleheads on eBay don't read descriptions. There's been a lot of bids since that update.

its at $710 now
Over $900 now. Too bad there's no way to contact the bidders to let them know. Someone's gonna be super pissed off.

Yeah, if they know anything about TMNT comics they're gonna be pissed when they get it in hand. I've seen that version posted more than a few times now as a second print. I feel like it's going to keep happening. CGC calls it the "Insight editions" (2018) if anybody wants to look it up in the census.

Did you guys see this? $88,000 for a 9.6. Apparently signed on the inside cover. So I assume a 9.8 that got knocked to a 9.6 because of the signature?

UPS delivered books: 02/01
As of today...crickets. Still not received.

Did you guys see the original poster for Portsmouth, NH Mini-Con that Shellback Artworks had for sale? Man that thing is awesome. It sold for $2,100.

Question. the most recent sales on #4 first print 9.8 (1300 dollars) and #4 2nd print (1100 dollars) on HA would seem to suggest that the 2nd print might actually be more valuable than the first. What's the story? Outlier? 2nd print cover getting more attention for being the image on the NES game? Scarcity? any ideas?
It's definitely the cover, in my opinion. It's one of my favorites for sure.

I'd slab it. I don't think the hype has pushed into the later books yet. But I agree with Subby1938...Books 5-10 are pushing up in value now too. I think it's worth rolling the dice on almost any of the volume 1 books that could be a 9.8.

Shellback Artworks (Steve Lavigne) still has a NYCC #3 for sale on his Facebook page for $3,500. I think that's a good price.

Wow! They got their $12,000 starting offer immediately after posting them, and the 9.4 on Heritage is up to $12,500 now with 3 weeks left in the auction.
There is a 7.0 on Heritage also that is at $12,000 right now. It makes me wonder why they are selling theirs on Facebook. I would think they'd get more exposure on an auction site.

Wow! With buyers premium included it's over $11k! I've wanted to upgrade my 6.5 but at these prices I'll just be happy with it. It almost feels like the floor for a CGC 1st print is $10k. At least for the mid range low end books. There's only a small amount of sub 5.0 books and I haven't seen any really low grades sell lately. Has anyone seen any first prints sell with a grade at 5.0 or less in the past 6 months or so?

Well after scoring a great copy of TMNT 2 first print in cgc 9.6 I was surfing eBay auctions and stumbled on issue 4 cgc 9.6. It was auction with zero interest it seemed as seller stated it was local pickup only. It may have discouraged bidders I went ahead bid anyways hoping he would change his mind and send it my way, and won the book for $ 354.00 US .The seller agreed to ship to my surprise , I felt this was also a great price for my fav cover in this run . Any thoughts ?
I think you did great for that price. A 9.6 just sold a few weeks ago for $699.00 on eBay. It was a buy it now but someone was still willing to pay that much. The first 4 books and Raphael just keep climbing. I have a #4 9.2 coming back from CGC right now. I would have jumped all over a 9.6 at your price. Congrats.

If it's signed inside it will be blue label.
I'm embarrassed to say I never knew that. Thanks for the info.

Awww man. The NYCC Variant is gonna get the green label isn't it? I mean it's rare enough that it won't matter to most. I'd like to upgrade my 9.0 but I couldn't stand the green. Lol. I'll be curious to see what it sells for

I did end up grabbing this . The conversion works out to 920.00 US for cgc 9.6 first print . Appreciate the tips I had to ask around because these books have gone up very quickly and wanted to make sure I was paying fair market
That's a great price. Congrats on that!
