So this investigation was underway long before the re-holdering incident. But might give everyone a sense of how long it might take for more details on the re-holdering to become more public
It seems like this has only become public because CGC is filing an injunction in court against this couple. Otherwise we may never have heard about it.

Sounds like they also created and swapped in counterfeit labels on a number of the books and sold them on ComicLink and Ebay.
I heard that as well.

Here's an update to a cast-signed book. This is from the 2012 TMNT Animated Series from Nickelodeon. It has 5 seasons and if nothing else, it's worth a watch. The first 4 seasons are great. The fifth season is more of an anthology season that jumps all over the timeline and was rebranded as "Tales of the TMNT" (not unlike the comic series of the same name).
Anyway, here's the book:
Kevin Eastman - Co-creator/Ice Cream Kitty
Peter Laird - Co creator
Ciro Nieli - showrunner (responsible for the overall design of the series)
Sean Astin - Raphael
Greg Cipes - Michelangelo
Rob Paulsen - Donatello
Jason Biggs - Leonardo (first 2 seasons)
*NEW* Seth Green - Leonardo (last 3 seasons)
Hoon Lee - Splinter
Kevin Michael Richardson - Shredder
Mae Whitman - April O'Neil
*NEW* Nolan North - Kraang (all of them)
I'd call this one basically done. HOWEVER, I'd crack it for Josh Peck, who played Casey Jones in the show for 59 episodes. Maybe Kelly Hu as well, who played Karai. But those I think are the only real omissions from this book. I'm very happy with it.
That's amazing! Congrats on that accomplishment. It's hard enough to get Eastman & Laird together on one book, let alone an entire cast. Well done.

1 Book Unlimited Value
Dropped at UPS 1/30
Delivered at CGC - 1/31 10:51am
Scanned in at CGC - 1/31
SFG - Not yet
This is my first UV submission. I wrote UV all over the box. I thought it would move along faster.

I don't know about longboxes specifically. But I do know that delivering pallets to a residence can be tricky. It would most likely be delivered on a LTL type shipping truck that delivers to loading docks. If you can find a freight delivery service to deliver to your house you might need a forklift or something. Unless you can have them delivered to a business somewhere.

The grade was so bad they felt bad charging you the full amount.
That's funny.... I was just wondering about this today. I shipped an Unlimited Value submission this morning and struggled with a declared value. What if I overestimate and they charge me too much?

Congrats! I was watching your first print on here and Facebook wishing I was in a position to grab it. I've sold two first prints in the past 10 years and miss them both.

Can you guys help with a Mirage #2? I am almost positive it's a 2nd print because it doesn't have the small white triangle in the bottom left corner of the front cover. But Leonardo doesn't have the chat bubble saying second printing on the inside cover. So I'm confused. I always thought the white triangle was 100%. I think I need deeper expertise than mine.

You know on one hand it's nice to have CGC Mike on the boards to help with issues like this. But on the other hand it kind of sucks that it takes venting on the boards publicly to get an issue the attention it deserves.
Sorry this happened to you. Missing out on an Eastman signing over an error like this is a bummer.

The signature won’t hurt the grade but it will get a green label. You don’t have to select the green label when submitting. They’ll assign the correct label.

25 book modern pre-screen submission
Dropped off at Fedex - Jan 12
Arrived at CGC - Jan 19
SFG - Jan 19
I'm impressed that it was opened and in the system the same day it was delivered.
Surprisingly my last two submissions I sent this month were both delivered, loaded in the system, scheduled for grading, and billed all on the same day. I hope that becomes regular.

Spoke with customer service again and told that magazine submissions delayed yet again due to lack of parts (cases).
Ugh... that doesn't make me feel good about my magazine submissions.

What grade?
It was a 6.5. I plan on buying another 1st print someday. That’s why I like to watch the price movement.

I screenshot from the six figure thread.
For some odd reason I didn't "think it was too big a drop this time," just forgot specific numbers.
Only dropped 1k not too bad
Interesting. I hadn't seen the Clink sale. So a 15% drop from $155k to $131k, then a tiny bump to $132k just now. It will be interesting to see if the price stabilizes in the 130k range. I've been fascinated with watching the price since I sold my 1st print in 2021.

Put me down for 160k
It ended at $132k (that includes the buyers premium). It's a small sample size but it looks like the price is on the decline.

None of my 12/7 moderns are out of SFG yet.
I had my 12/5 moderns flip from SFG to G/QC a few hours ago.

In the past I think CGC might have given a book like that an 8.0, but they seem super tight right now. So maybe more like 6.5 - 7.0.
Thanks for taking the time to look it over. I appreciate it.

The most disturbing part to me is the fact that he could just walk over to a shelf and steal a customers book?? And nobody saw it? I don't know what I expected but I always assumed the facility was a little more secure than that.
